A beautiful old hotel tastefully renovated the staff are very friendly and professional always happy to help, I highly recommended the feature room 200 very comfortable. The highlight was the Bentley tour around the city with Jim, he is a very knowledgeable chap who tells you lots of things about Norwich and also about the Classic Bentley. Well worth booking the Bentley ride. If if could give 10 stars I would. We stayed here as part of our 30th wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it so much we will be back in the future.

Had a wonderful stay at the Maid's Head Hotel. The hotel is lovely, breakfast was good, the location is fantastic, there was ample parking, and we were relieved to discover there was AC.

We chose this hotel for afternoon tea to celebrate a pre-wedding occasion with family and friends, expecting a memorable experience that reflected the hotel's reputation. Sadly, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. The food was incredibly disappointing. The scones were dry, the bread was stale and dry, and the entire afternoon tea lacked any sense of care, quality or attention to detail. It felt mass-produced rather than something prepared for what should have been a special celebration. The service was equally poor. Despite being served the afternoon tea, we were not given any tea to drink. We had to ask three separate times before it finally arrived, which is astonishing considering tea is the centrepiece of an afternoon tea experience. Throughout this time, staff appeared inattentive and uninterested. It was only after speaking with the manager that things began to improve. To their credit, the manager handled our complaint professionally, listened to our concerns, and offered a sincere apology. They were the only positive aspect of our visit. However, while I appreciate how the manager dealt with the situation, this experience should never have happened in the first place. For a hotel with such a strong reputation, the standard of both the food and service fell well below expectations. This was a special celebration, and unfortunately the occasion was overshadowed by an experience that was both disappointing and avoidable. I would not recommend the afternoon tea based on our visit.

Extremely disappointing lunch.Ordered fish & chips in main restaurant.. Fish was mainly batter. Actual fish was very small & tasted frozen. Chips were not palatable. They were hard and covered in brown bits as if cooked in overused oil. The mushy peas were not mushy but normal peas in a in a milky sauce, clearly reheated and left as had a dry top to them. Offered a free drink or dessert. Declined and asked for refund which had to be clarified by management and took 15 minutes .First time eating here. Was hoping to bring all the family but sadly no. On reflection a manager should have dealt with this personally at our table and not left it to the waitress who was left to deal with it alongside serving other tables. The waitress was very kind and apologetic.

We had an absolute lovely time staying at The Maids Head that was a close walk to most main attractions. As a gluten free vegan, there were some options we could eat for breakfast. Lots of gluten free items and a few vegan options. I know the combo is trickier to accommodate. We definitely ate plenty and were nourished to start our day. The only thing I was slightly, emphasis on slightly, disappointed with for breakfast was a lack of vegan yogurt. I completely understand not having it always available but when a guest is staying for a several days and had requested it, it would have been a nice option. With that being said, the entire team for breakfast and at the desk were phenomenal! I didn’t get every name but honestly each and every interaction was fantastic! Amelia, during breakfast, always went above and beyond while having such a positive attitude. All in all a wonderful stay!
