Bar do Deca is the gay beach bar at Praia Mole, on Rodovia Jornalista Manoel de Menezes on the east side of Florianópolis island. It started as a beach kiosk and grew into the DECA party brand. Its corner of the sand draws a large, mostly gay male crowd for drinks, sun and sunset DJ sets, especially at weekends in high summer and around Carnival. Google reviews average 4.0 from almost 1,000. It is busiest from December to March, and much quieter off-season. Parking along the road fills early on summer weekends. Watch the surf at Praia Mole, which is known for strong currents.
