had the best time here. the pop floor was exquisite and the electronic floor just as good. the area around is kinda dangerous but still enjoyed the party. the people were very nice and friendly and I loved dancing watching the ocean
I had a terrible experience at Wauw during Ms. Nina's show. My phone was stolen, and the same thing happened to many other people. Security did practically nothing. They have no protocols in place. The guard who was notified just started smoking. I suspected some people, and he approached them to ask questions without following any protocol. The people obviously didn't admit to the theft and left shortly after. I absolutely do not recommend it; I would never go back. It's not a safe place, and I received no response from the venue.
The concept of a safe space is slowly being lost; as soon as you enter, they offer you everything, and the DJs are incredibly boring! At one time, it was a fantastic experience to attend, but the current lack of control over drugs and people in general completely ruins the focus. Total disappointment.
Second bad experience at "Fiestas Wauw." The first time, you couldn't even walk due to poor management, and buying drinks was a stampede where I got hurt—that's how bad it was. I wanted to give them a second chance last night, and unfortunately, it was the same. They lost a really good concept that could have continued during the pandemic when it was more of a pub. It was packed with people who were there to get wasted, they don't respect your personal space, they spill drinks all over you, people were selling and doing hard drugs—it was anything but a "safe" place. Not to mention the guys who even touch you without your consent. The worst part is that the criticism continues: the drinks are misleading; they sold me a "shot" in a 200cc glass. They charge $11,000 at the door if you want to enter after 12:30, even though there's no door in the bathrooms; you have to prop it open to pee. The only thing that was saved was the terrace DJ "Cristian Leyv", very good music, varied, Twinks yelling "boring" at him for not playing his shitty Charlie xcx music.
My jacket was stolen, and if I lost it, they didn't provide any on-site assistance. I tried to contact them on Instagram, but they didn't respond either. Even if they had found it, I couldn't find out. This wouldn't have happened before; it was a safe environment in every sense.
