I’ve been to Belize five times in the last year, and one thing that’s become a non-negotiable part of every trip is breakfast at Victoria House. While the resort itself is beautiful, it’s the breakfast that keeps bringing me back. In fact, it was one of my favourite meals from my entire time in Belize. Everything is consistently fresh, well prepared, and worth slowing down for. And then there’s the bacon jam. I don’t say this lightly: their homemade bacon jam is worth travelling across the world for. I’ve thought about it long after returning home, and it’s become one of those foods I look forward to every time I book a trip back to Belize. Five visits later, it’s still one of my favourite breakfast spots on the island. If you’re anywhere near San Pedro, do yourself a favour and make the trip.

The reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that the individual hut rooms are fairly sparse and definitely show their age. We stayed here after staying at two other amazing resorts and the room itself was a low point. That being said, the staff was amazing! They were incredibly nice, friendly, and accommodating. We even ran into a staff member in town and they went out of their way to say hi to us. They offer pick up and drop off from the airport which is great. We only ate breakfast at the resort but it was good. Also, the staff were great in giving us info on things to do and even booked a snorkeling trip for us. If you're staying here I would just recommend staying in one of the newer rooms.

We had an exceptional stay at Victoria House. What stood out most was how peaceful and refined the property feels compared to much of the overbuilt energy around San Pedro. The moment you enter the grounds, it genuinely feels like a private oasis and it was beautifully maintained, quiet, spacious and incredibly relaxing. The staff across the property were outstanding. The breakfast service each morning was excellent, the pool attendants were attentive without hovering, and the bar staff consistently made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the trip. The grounds, pools and beachfront are all stunning, but what really makes Victoria House special is the atmosphere. It feels calm, polished and intentional. We left feeling rested, taken care of, this hotel made the trip. And I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a lush lawn anywhere.

Kindness the world needs. I was out for my morning walk. I had taken my eyes off the sidewalk for just a moment and fell. (I am an older man) Anyone in San Pedro Belize knows there is quite the drop off next to the water. I cut my arm and skinned my knee. As I am walking back to my resort with a bloody arm. A kind Gentleman from Victoria Resorts asked if I needed help. I said yes but I am not from this resort. He told me that did not matter "we are here to help". He brought me into the resort, sat me down. After cleaning my wounds and bandaging me up he sent me on my way with more bandages and antibacterial cream, with strict instructions to change the dressing. I wish I had asked his name. I cant wait to go back to San Pedro and stay at the Victoria Resort to repay his kindness. Thank you.

What an amazing experience. Our room (Casa del Sol Suite) was beautiful and the views were amazing. No detail went unnoticed, the entire resort was immaculate. We had the Barefoot Elegance package that covered breakfast and dinner. The food was perfect at every meal. It also included transportation to and from the Tropic Air terminal and a 1/2 day snorkeling trip to Hol Chan Marine Preserve and Shark Rey Alley (not as scary as it sounds). We cannot think of a single thing that would have made this trip any better.

Gorgeous property with great excursions.

Very nice hotel. Excellent service. Unfortunately, sargassum seaweed has invaded the sea in front of the hotel, making swimming impossible and the smell is very strong.

What a slice of heaven! Highly recommend this resort. The staff was so kind and helpful, the facilities are well maintained and clean, and the beach, pool, and spa were a welcome reprieve from the daily grind. The grounds are nicely kept and very serene. I recommend this for anyone looking for somewhere to relax, out of the bustle of town (but still accessible with about a 20 minute golf cart ride).

Victoria House is the kind of place you go when you want to start your morning slowly and actually enjoy it, the kind of breakfast that reminds you why you booked the trip in the first place. Set right on the water, the Admiral Nelson's beach bar restaurant offers a quiet, thoughtful setting that feels a world away from busier spots. You can sit inside or outside, both shaded, but with the windows and doors open you still feel the warm breeze and hear the soft waves rolling in. It’s calm, unhurried, and easy to settle into. We both ordered the avocado bacon & egg toast, and the standout was the house-smoked bacon jam. It’s perfectly balanced between sweet and smoky, and completely transforms the dish into something you’ll still be thinking about later. Paired with classic mimosas and genuinely attentive service, the whole experience feels effortless. Whether you’re staying at the property or just visiting, it’s an easy place to drop into and instantly feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. ✨ Hayley’s highlight: The avocado bacon & egg toast with that sweet and smoky bacon jam that makes the whole dish. ✨ Claire’s highlight: Mimosas with a waterfront view in a setting that makes you slow down and fully enjoy your morning.
