Residence & Conference Centre - Calgary

This is such a great option that is very affordable in the summer. The rooms are very clean. We did a load of laundry in the huge laundry room and it was very straight forward to use ($5 for a card, and then loaded $5 of credit). The train is right on campus. Breakfast and parking is included. Parking is in a parkade a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was better than most hotels (scrambled eggs, pancakes, oatmeal were the hot options, along with yogurt, cereal, croissants, muffins, bread and bagels for toasting). The Best part was how friendly, approachable, and helpful the front desk staff were. We never felt like we were a bother and they were always happy to help with any questions we had. The only downside is the 2 bedroom suite we booked doesn't have air conditioning. We knew this, and looked ahead at the forecast to ensure there weren't any very hot days. Be sure to close the blinds during the day. We brought a fan, but the front desk said they had some to lend out. Even though we were visiting during Stampede, it was quite quiet on our floor.

Great location - right off the Deerfoot, access to the C-train, walking distance to Kensington (great pubs and shops), and the rooms are very comfortable. Great views of the city. This is our go-to place for guest rooms when we are staying in Calgary.

Location is convenient to the train. Breakfast was adequate. The room had many issues though. No dishes or small appliances in the kitchen which really makes it a fridge only. A light was out when we arrived but it was fixed. Shower didn't drain so we had to bail it, was fixed when we finally told the desk but if it was cleaned prior they would have known. Blind in one room was stuck half way so no way to block the light. When I pulled on the cord the valance fell on me. For the price it was disappointing, I have stayed in Uni Dorms in many places.

Hotel rooms were unbelievably hot. No air conditioning. Couldnt even sleep it was so hot. Rooms are dirty and uncomfortable. Horrible stay Edit: they are trying to claim they have no record of me staying here in their reply. They are liars i stayed there in July 2024. Can’t handle a bad review and try to make it seem like im lying.

The rooms are definitely dorm rooms, but they are very clean and quiet. The bed was really comfortable. The towels were of very nice quality and quantity. For the price, the breakfast was fine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. On the whole, excellent value for the cost.

I was aware this was a university dorm room and wasn't surprised when there were no amenities you find in a hotel room. However, the room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great. It would have been nice to be handed information on food sources on campus on the weekend when I checked in on Sunday afternoon.

A convenient location, clean rooms, excellent staff, and value that can't be beat. I highly recommend SAIT.

We booked for two but they charged us for three persons, we travelled from Edmonton for hours, front desk was unreachable, kitchen is dysfunctional and uncleaned, ac and televisions are not working, rude staffs we had a terrible stay, breakfast selections are empty!

Good location. Rooms were VERY hot when I stayed there. Helpful front desk and housekeeping.
