Quartermain House Bed & Breakfast

While at a conference in downtown Fredericton I stayed at this gorgeous place in easy walking distance to the convention centre/city centre and was served gorgeous homemade breakfasts, and slept incredibly well on the comfy bed with excellent cotton bedding and the soaker tub was a real treat! Every detail was well thought out and the place is meticulously cared for. It was so quiet, regal feeling and relaxing. Debra was a gracious and easygoing host. I can’t wait to go back and find more time to skate, cross country ski and explore Fredericton.

What an absolutely stunning b&b, like stepping into a Hallmark movie. The house is gorgeous and well-decorated, and the perfect distance to downtown. The room was cozy, the bathroom was spacious. Debra was such a wonderful host, very kind and attentive. She even prepared a charcuterie board for when we arrived! Breakfast was phenomenal as well, an omelette, a berry crumble, and fresh fruit. Cannot recommend this place enough - will definitely be back!

We lucked out in being able to score a last minute stay at the Quartermain House on our Eastern Canada road trip. The inn was extremely charming and our room was very comfortable, it was exactly what we were hoping for. Also the location was perfect as was the hospitality shown by Debra. When we return to Fredericton we will most definitely book another stay.

An absolutely gorgeous place with wonderful, attentive, kind hosts. Debra and Russ went out of their way to make us feel at home, even though we were only there a single night. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Russ even drove us to the airport the following day at an unsociably early hour! Amazing. I wish all BnBs and hotels took such good care of their guests. 5 stars with no hesitation.

My partner and I stayed at Quartermain for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved it. The building and rooms were beautiful, the host was very friendly and thoughtful, and the food was delicious. Very reasonable as well.

Couldn't say enough amazing things about our stay at Quartermain House. Debra was a wonderful host with a cheerful motherly demeanor. She checked the weather the morning we were to arrive and called to warn us it may be messy. Told us to drive safe. When we arrived, she was at the door of her amazingly charming home. It was so beautifully decorated that we were in awe. She showed us around and immediately made us feel at home. Her library was breathtaking, with soft throws on every seating surface. The dining room was like it was taken right out of a magazine. She showed us to our room, and made sure we knew where everything was. The bathroom had heated floors, see attached pictures for the tub and shower. Huge spacious tub. Big fluffy towels. She had a bottle of wine and a charcuterie box for us, as well as tons of little dishes throughout the house with little mints, chocolates, and cookies. The bed was so comfy, with more soft, fuzzy blankets throughout the bedroom. There was a mini fridge in the closet and a keurig in the room with coffee and hot chocolate, as well as tea in the dining room. With our stay we received $50 in downtown dollars. Quartermain House was a 10 minute walk from many different restaurants to choose from. When we woke, Debra's husband was already clearing the snow outside, and she had the library already set for us to have breakfast at our requested time. You also have the option to have your breakfast in bed, or the dining room. Breakfast was amazing. Peach pancakes, eggs with potatoes and cheese, crispy bacon, toast with blueberry jam, coffee and orange juice. She brought it filled with smiles and that wonderful motherly demeanor. Thank you so much, Debra. It was our first stay at a B&B, and you made sure that our stay was exactly what we needed to de-stress from our busy, hectic, day to day life.

CHARMING & COMFORTABLE My stay at Quartermain House was absolutely wonderful. My room was comfortable, well furnished, and the bed and pillows were perfect for a good night's sleep. The sitting area outside of my room was a lovely place for an afternoon cup of tea, as I had that floor to myself during my autumn visit. A big shout out to Debra for her hospitality and for the amazing breakfasts she prepared. I will definitely be back. Quartermain House is the perfect place to be for a fall visit to Fredericton.

I arranged a getaway for my son and daughter in-law as a Christmas gift. My son just contacted me to let me know that their stay was outstanding. They were so well taken care of and we so grateful to have such wonderful hospitality.
