Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa

Absolutely amazing resort. The location, the service, rooms and restaurants are.top notch. Our 5th time now in under 2 years and excellent every time. Get the breakfast room.

We stayed at this hotel booked through Chase travel during August 2026. The hotel is very nice and the staff is very friendly. We were expecting an early check in as was offered through Chase travel, but when we arrived at the hotel at noon our room was not ready. Our room was not ready until after 4:00, which is regular check in time. The room itself was very nice, but each evening when we went to get a shower, we had no hot water. We had the staff come up and eventually get the hot water working, but the issue was persistent. The hotel did give us a total of $300 credit for this. When we booked we knew we had a free breakfast for 2 through our Chase card, but the staff at the restaurant assured us daily that our both adults and children's breakfasts would be free. In fact, each day they brought us our total bill for 4 buffet breakfasts and the total was $0. We did leave a tip. After checkout we realized that on our room bill they had charged us for 2 child buffets. When we called them about this, they basically told us 'too bad'. Not a huge issue, but very disappointing that they were not honest about this. Overall, we had a great trip. The pool is very nice and the beach is beautiful. We have previously stayed at the Westin a few doors down and the Kimpton is much nicer and more modern. The hot water issue is understandable, but the dishonesty about the breakfast credit is very disappointing. We loved the hotel and stay overall.

Positives: - We felt safe everywhere on the island and this was really important to us. - The doormen were great and probably the friendliest on staff. Ave servers a close second. - They were well staffed so waters stayed full, plates cleared quickly, you could always find someone if you needed help. - The beach is beautiful. - Great sunsets. - We really enjoyed snorkeling around the hotel and having access to gear. - Pool attendants were helpful. - Housekeeping comes twice per day which is great when everything is covered in sand. - Food is decent. - Room service was fast. - It was easy to charge to the room whether you were eating at one of the restaurants or at the “market” near the lobby. Disappointments: - To sum up most of the below points, it just didn't feel as luxury as we’d hoped. It felt like a busy, loud resort in which breathing cost you more money. We weren’t even there during the busy season so I can’t imagine during its peak! - We lost so much sleep because we could hear everything in the hallway and above us. Kids running up and down the hallway, families moving furniture, people shouting down the hall, you name it. - Even during slow season, they’re hosting conferences that overrun the hotel. It takes away from the “escape” luxury feel. - It’s expensive. A family of four (with elementary age children) would pay $170 daily for the breakfast buffet in USD. We paid over $1,300 for food during the week by eating at the onsite restaurants, and that was not us being indulgent. Not necessarily a hotel thing - just a Cayman thing - but definitely factor that into your trip budget. Take a taxi to fosters to stock up on snacks! The poolside menu prices were laughable for drinks that were meh. - It seems like such a silly and small thing, but it was easily some of the worst quality shampoo and conditioner we’ve ever had in a hotel. I never expect them to be great, we can bring our own, but at a five star hotel, I’d love to see something usable that accounts for the damage the wind and sand do. It didn’t feel like 5-star products that other places may have.

Some resorts are beautiful. Others are memorable. This one is both. Five lifelong friends traveled here to celebrate more than 40 years of friendship and honor the memory of a dear friend who was supposed to make this trip with us. Three years ago, we canceled after her cancer diagnosis. Alejandra in reservations told us, "When she is better, you will come back." Sadly, she never got the chance, but we came in her honor. From the moment we arrived, Area General Manager Yan Gillet and his incredible team made us feel truly cared for. Every employee, from the front desk and concierge to housekeeping, beach attendants, restaurant staff, and valet, provided genuine warmth and exceptional service. It's clear this culture starts with outstanding leadership. The resort is stunning, with immaculate grounds, beautiful beaches, incredible pools, and outstanding dining. But what truly sets it apart is how they make you feel. Thank you, Yan and your entire team, for giving us far more than a vacation. You helped us celebrate our friendship, honor our friend, and create memories we'll cherish forever. We can't wait to return.

As a loyal IHG Diamond Elite member who has stayed at many exceptional properties around the world, I can confidently say that the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa in the Cayman Islands exceeded every expectation and delivered one of the finest resort experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary. Every member of the team demonstrated genuine warmth, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to making our stay unforgettable. The staff anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, consistently going above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Their personalized service made us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation. The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking. The architecture, landscaping, and immaculate grounds create a sophisticated yet tranquil atmosphere that perfectly complements the beauty of Seven Mile Beach. The beachfront pool is spectacular, the private beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever visited, and the spa offers an exceptional level of relaxation and luxury. Every restaurant on the property delivered outstanding cuisine, creative menus, and impeccable service. Whether enjoying breakfast overlooking the Caribbean Sea, relaxing with cocktails by the pool, or experiencing an unforgettable dinner, every meal exceeded expectations.

One of the worst Caribbean hotels I've stayed at. The view was beautiful but the room was a constant 78 degrees. The food in and around the resort was horrible. You have to spend $70 in cab fare to go off property just to get a good meal.

We had an absolute dream vacation at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa in the Cayman Islands. The property is stunning, but what truly sets this resort apart is the extraordinary staff. Every person we encountered provided a level of hospitality that is rarely seen. It felt as though everyone on the team shared the same commitment to creating something special—and as guests, we were lucky enough to benefit from it every single day. Our stay began with meeting Front of House Manager Hadi Azhari, who was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and gracious from the very beginning. He helped secure an IHG Diamond-upgraded room for us, which elevated our entire stay and felt like the best birthday gift I could have received this year. Hadi is personable, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely gifted at making guests feel valued. I truly enjoyed our conversations, and he made me feel like a VIP throughout our visit. By the time we left, I honestly felt as though we were old friends. Whatever Hadi is doing at Kimpton Seafire should be captured and shared across IHG properties as the gold standard for hospitality. Simply exquisite. On our first night, we decided to stay on property for dinner and drinks at Library by the Sea. Every evening after that, we asked ourselves where we should go—and every evening, we chose to return. Library by the Sea is one of the most unique and charming cocktail bars I have experienced in all my travels. Jimmy wowed us with his amazing cocktails, deep knowledge of vintage spirits, storytelling, and warm personality. Daawud is a true master mixologist, and his knowledge of rum is especially impressive. If he is not already hosting a rum class, I highly recommend making that happen. I did not think I was a rum person, but after spending time with “D,” I am completely converted. He also gets my vote for most handsome. We received exceptional service and unforgettable cocktails from Jimmy, Daawud, Leo, Alex, Arnaud, Miko, Steven, Alejandro, and India. Every one of them was top-notch and made us feel like special VIP guests. I would return again and again simply to spend time with this incredible team. Collectively, they elevated our entire experience at Kimpton Seafire. The breakfast buffet was incredible, and Lazlo Boras is an outstanding manager. His team clearly loves working with him, and they work so hard to make breakfast a top-notch experience each morning. Lazlo was attentive to our needs and made sure we were seated at our favorite table every day. What a gem you have in him. Diana was our housekeeper on the 7th floor, and when I return, I will absolutely ask to stay on the 7th floor again because of her. She was attentive, responsive, professional, and thoughtful. She made our stay perfect in every way, and I hope the resort knows what an asset she is. Miguel at Coccoloba taught me more about tequila in one week than I had learned in 58 years. He is outstanding at what he does, and the resort is lucky to have him. As you can see, this trip was truly special. Kimpton Seafire is a beautiful resort, but its people are what make it unforgettable. What an amazing staff and incredible experience. I cannot wait to come back.
