EL ALMACEN

This was the first gay bar I ever went to when I was 18. Today I'm 33, and it's nothing like it used to be. Three years ago, I was drugged there with scopolamine. It wasn't the owners or the staff, but I felt very unprotected when they banned me, claiming I'd been kicked out severely intoxicated and that's why they denied me entry. I filed a police report, but it did nothing to refute the serious accusation this place made against me. Friends who have been there occasionally have also mentioned the adulterated alcohol in the drinks, which I don't doubt, but it's a general problem in the area.

Crazy, crazy

It's not very big, but even when it's full, it doesn't feel cramped. The service is excellent, and they make sure the restrooms are clean. There's only one women's restroom, but it's sufficient.

You go for the show, but the space is small and the services leave much to be desired.

Nice LGBT spot, but the beer costs 65 pesos... plus a 120-peso cover charge, it's way too expensive to get in. And 2:30 people aren't allowed in... old, boring music that'll make you want to go to sleep. mmmm

Super friendly staff and incredible cheap ! The music is loud but you can talk and they always have entertainment

It is an iconic and historic Gay Bar for mostly mature men with a good atmosphere, they play Pop music from the 80's, 90's and 2000's, unique of its kind in Mexico City.

Was here on a Saturday and it was festive and fun, great drag show with a performer who sang (not lip synched) and told jokes. A true performer that made the difference.
