Red Room Gay Bar Tulum

We went on Pride Day expecting a lot and getting very little. The photos on Google Maps are misleading. The place is tiny, the music selection is boring, and the drag show is mediocre. It's unfortunate that it's the only gay bar in Tulum and the experience it offers is so poor. In particular, the drag queen's show that night was long, tiresome, and unfunny. What she lacks in charisma and talent, she more than makes up for in attention-seeking. We intended to dance, but we didn't get the chance because she simply wouldn't shut up for over two hours. The song selection for her show felt dated, and her jokes were forced. I suggest that anyone with standards for atmosphere, dancing, and a real drag show avoid the embarrassment of going to this place.

We had a blast. Crowd varies and it's a fun lively place. Bartender and Argentinean server Maxi 🔥 Let's just say go discover for yourself.

Red Room Gay Bar Tulum is a lovely place for a gay night out, especially on weekends. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and full of good energy. The drag performances by SOYDRAMA were amazing, emotional, and clearly made with so much talent and care. A special thank you to Christian at the bar, who gave us incredible service and made us feel so comfortable and welcome all night. Definitely a great spot in Tulum for a fun and memorable night out.
