The food is delicious, Ramsey was very attentive and was a great server and host.

Had the best time, was from out of town. Know virtually no one and possibly made friends for life. Went on a Saturday and the patio was hopping with handsome men and everyone was lovely. Looking forward to going back.

I really wanted to like Austin Eagle, but it’s been a consistent disappointment. First off, the location is awkward. It’s tucked away in a strip center behind a gas station, which already kills the vibe before you even walk in. And once you do walk in—it gets worse. This place is supposed to be a leather bar, but it looks nothing like one. It honestly feels more like an old fast-food spot—because it *was* one. The interior still has that unmistakable “former pizza restaurant” look, giving off more casual chain vibes than anything remotely edgy or atmospheric. My first visit was about six months after they opened, on a Friday night—which should be prime time—and there were fewer than ten people there. A couple of random guys were awkwardly dancing like they were at a rave, but otherwise it was completely dead. We didn’t even bother getting drinks—we turned around and went back to 4th Street instead. The second attempt wasn’t any better. This was during Austin Kink Weekend April 2026—on a Saturday night. It had turned cold and rainy that day, so you’d think they’d want to encourage people to come in, but instead they were charging a $25 cover *per person*. The place wasn’t even crowded. The door guy tried to justify it by saying they were over capacity the night before…which, frankly, didn’t seem like it would take much given how small the venue is. But that was a completely different night—warmer, no rain, totally different conditions. Charging that kind of cover based on a “maybe later” scenario is absurd. We left (again) and went back to 4th. That’s become a pattern. Friends of ours who *did* pay the cover said it was dead inside anyway. That tracks. What’s especially wild is that when I mentioned this to some well-connected folks in the leather community—including people tied to the Dallas Eagle—they were shocked. The Dallas location rarely charges a cover over $10, and that’s for actual major events—not speculative capacity concerns. Bottom line: between the awkward space, poor turnout, and unjustified cover charges, this place completely misses the mark. Austin deserves a much better Eagle than this.

All the bartenders are friendly Dillon it’s the best

Just had a really chill happy hour experience! It was my first time, and I felt so relaxed and at peace. The bartender, Johnathan, was absolutely magnificent. He really made the whole experience special. Definitely planning on coming back again soon.

Drove three hours to experience and was turned away at the door for having an expired ID... dissapointing as hell.

A fun, low pressure queer space to socialize and meet people. Staff is friendly and involved in the community making them a great point of contact on best times to come and events that are going on around the city! I love having them in my neighborhood!

We love the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The owners Luis and Randy are amazing. We love coming to this bar because of the amazing staff and people.

Absolutely amazing. The food here is great. I love this place after not going out for 20 years this is a great relaxed atmosphere and everybody is really friendly
