My band Emo Class Reunion was so thankful to have a gig here. What an amazing night, great food, music, and Don the DJ was top notch. Ty 🙏
I went to this place last week with my family. The food was horrible. 🤢 I ordered crab cakes. Not good. The French fries were salty. The alcohol beverage wasn't good. Three other people came with me, and was not pleased with the taste of their food choice as well. I came here because my daughter goes to the university up the street. I was just disappointed. The crab cakes looked good, but the taste was off. Nothing like eating crab cakes in the state of MD. Lastly, my order came with soup. I had no idea what it was, but it was awful. Nothing against the environment or the people. Just the food. I should have chosen something much safer.
COMPLAINT REGARDING SECURITY CONDUCT AND USE OF EXCESSIVE FORCE. I had been playing pool here for about an hour when two young women came up and made an insulting comment toward me as they were bypassing the area. We had a brief verbal exchange, calm and collected exchange, no yelling or dramatic overreactions, when one of the two told me to go away and I responded I told them I was already there and wasn’t leaving. If they had an issue with me they were more than happy to leave the area and leave me alone. I spoke to them with the respect I would want someone else to have if it was my sister in the situation, even through the insults. It never got physical, and I didn’t make any threats. I was calmly verbalizing when out of nowhere, a security guard from the pool room entrance jumped in. He didn’t introduce himself, didn’t say a word to me, and didn’t tell me to leave or calm down. He went straight to putting his hands on me—grabbing, pushing, and shoving me. I kept telling him to get off me, but he continued. The only reason it stopped is because my friend stepped in and separated us. Afterward, I even spoke to the guard calmly outside and explained that the situation didn’t call for that kind of force. He agreed and said “my bad” but he banned me for the night. Honestly, this was really disappointing. There was no attempt to de-escalate anything—just straight to physical force for no real justifiable reason. That’s not how situations like that should be handled, and it felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Not to mention the embarrassment that comes with that. I’ve been coming here for years and this guy seemed new, I was unfamiliar as to who this guy was but I can say with confidence that he should not work in this field with the temperament that he has. He did not investigate on what was happening, he did not identify himself as security, did not give any prior directives to leave the establishment, nothing. Went straight into assaulting me. Not to mention he did a terrible job at actually trying to remove me. I could have had my way with the man if I wanted to but was more poised and passively responding to his movements. I don’t know the man’s name, but I am contacting the establishment to dress the situation. The man is a white Caucasian male, I’d say mid 20s to early 30s, always wears a cowboy hat, and is about 5’5 to 5’7 in height. What was actually the part that blew my mind was that he was present during the entire time I was playing pool and minding my own business up until the point those two girls came out of nowhere and started the insults, somehow I was deemed the aggressor by his own merit. Personally, I believe he acted in that manner to show off or display his sense of authority. I’d hate to say this, but I think Molly’s should take some time at least once a week to go over some security procedures and de-escalation techniques. Throughout the years, I’ve been seeing a rise in more physical escalation Incidents In the establishment than actually practicing de-escalation. If this isn’t addressed properly, I am going to completely stop supporting the establishment and encourage My social platforms do not answer the establishment, but I believe that they will do the right thing and address it appropriately.
Stopped in on a trip to Bethlehem after wandering the main street and not finding anywhere open. Definitely local dive kinda vibe, handful of people hanging out most seemed to be locals and knew each other. Bartender was friendly, helpful and attentive. Happened to be a wing day, worth the price for flavor and size. Brisket nachos were also good with a homemade cheese sauce. Everything has quick, hot, accurate and very tasty. Big variety selection and large menu. The Irish fare was on the pricey side. We were only there for lunch and didn't want to risk spending $30+ per person and not having it be up to par. If we're back for dinner would definitely give it a go. Would've enjoyed some Irish music playing to hit it home. They did have a "peace keeper" settling in at the door for the nighttime crowd, good to keep things under control. Word of advice, avoid the bathroom like the plague. Otherwise solid dive, will definitely consider again when in the area.
The service was very quick and friendly. They had a good deal going in when we were there $10 cheese steak and $10 for 10 wings. We got that and both options were delicious. They also have a $5 mystery shot, which turned out to be green tea.
