Delta Hotels Chesapeake Norfolk

I reserved a double-bed room for a two-night stay through the Delta reservation desk and was quoted $470.90 total. During booking, I added the guests staying in the room and was informed they would only need to provide a $50 incidental deposit at check-in, which would be refunded after checkout. Instead, charges and authorizations totaling more than $1,267 appeared across three separate payment methods for a reservation originally quoted at $470.90. We are still awaiting a clear explanation and resolution from the hotel. Multiple family members now have to contact their financial institutions to determine which charges are valid and which should be reversed. The billing concerns were only part of the problem. The shower drain was clogged during the stay, and guests were charged for breakfast despite breakfast being represented as included in the room rate. When we contacted the hotel on June 2 seeking answers, the response from the front desk lacked professionalism and accountability. Rather than receiving assistance and a clear explanation, we were left frustrated and without resolution. What should have been a simple hotel stay turned into a dispute involving billing confusion, maintenance issues, and poor customer service. We expect better communication, accountability, and guest care from a Marriott-branded property.

Terrible experience and I am disgusted. The hotel is extremely dirty and unkempt. The first room we checked into, we immediately vacated because there was dried blood on the curtains. The second room was a little better, or so I thought until I’m in the shower and go to wash my feet and there is a blue “drug baggie” on my freaking foot that had apparently been on the side of the tub or the inside of the UNCHANGED shower curtain! I literally almost threw up! Long story short, my husband and I spoke with the front desk but there was no manager on duty, so we left. Mind you it was around 11:30 pm. We had traveled 7 hours and were expecting a good nights sleep, instead we had to find other accommodations after midnight. We expect a full refund. Management is seriously lacking and it shows.

I was here for a graduation party. The food was good!!! The party room was nice.

Recently stayed here for a convention. The hotel was very nice, staff was very polite and friendly also helpful to all the needs during my stay. The bartender, I didn’t get his name was exceptional and and gave great service as well. We had several served meals during this time and the food was amazing, Sammy was absolutely a guest favorite and much appreciated very attentive (thank you for everything and being right there with every need! 10 of 10

Two stars only because of the amazing water pressure. Smallest TV Ive seen in a hotel since the early 2000s, no microwave though there is an obvious spot for one, fitted sheet does not fit the mattress and pops off constantly, only one working elevator during a major state conference, ice machine on 6th floor broken combined with only 1 elevator means walking the length of the building, down two floors, then back up since doing that is faster than the elevator. Stairwell also smelled like an ashtray. No attention or maybe funding by management to basic detail in this hotel despite a courteous and very apologetic staff. If able, stay elsewhere.
