Resort Rainbow Mountain

This place is a total scam. I booked for this weekend, never heard back from the team after multiple phone calls, emails and social media messages. They have a “BBB Rating As an F. Reasons for rating: Failure to respond to 4 complaint(s) filed against business 5 complaint(s) filed against business” I am so upset that I tried to book this for a nice weekend for my girlfriend and I and now I have to file a claim with my credit card, freeze my account and file another complain with the BBB. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS PLACE. I am beyond frustrated and upset. What a scam!

gonna be completely honest and my boyfriend booked this hotel on accident not knowing it was a lqbtq resort but honestly it was super cute and fun!! Amber working the front desk was incredibly helpful and super sweet and even helped when i was having problems with hotels.com. she upgraded our room and even let us check in late after we got stuck 30 minutes away lol. when we were having problems with water pressure she had it fixed almost immediately! the space was super welcoming and warm! the only down side is that the bed didn’t have an actual fitted sheet, but just a flat one laying on top but honestly that's pebbles compared to how great everyone was!

Wow. When I last visited this place, just over 5 years ago, it was a quaint but sophisticated little inn that welcomed all kinds of people (not just LGBTQ) and the restaurant was absolutely delicious. This trip I booked one of the little cabins that I had previously rented for a much needed rest in the woods. But when I arrived I was told that cabins were not available and I was put in a motel-style room just down the hill from the main resort (at the same price as the cabins). After confusion over the combination to get in the room, once the door opened very strong fumes hit my nostrils (not sure what that was from, winterization?). I opened the window and left the door open to try and air the room out. An hour later it smelled better but my room was full of bugs since there are no screens on the windows and no screen doors on the rooms. Looking around the room, there were no towels, despite the desk clerk mentioning she had been waiting around all day for me to arrive. (They couldn't check that the room was ready for guests?). They brought me 2 badly stained bath towels with no wash clothes. Needless to say, those gross towels went unused. I tried to spend one night to rest up but in the middle of the night I awoke and the strong fumes had returned. I packed up my car in the middle of the night and drove back home 5.5 hours without completing my 3-day stay. This was supposed to be my destination for 3 days of rest in the woods. Instead turned into a huge waste of money ($200 in auto fuel as well) since this resort is non-refundable. The restaurant also seemed to be closed. I know this was early in the year and I could have understood that everything might not be open but the resort looks so rundown now with paint peeling on the buildings and the terrible service. I doubt I will ever return to this resort. The cost of Rainbow Mountain Resort no longer is justified. I had a terrible experience. Worst room I ever experienced. Even the shower looked scary dirty. No thanks.

Great place to stay and the bar is great and very friendly bartenders and the GM and owner is very friendly to
