Super 8 by Wyndham Wausau

Stayed for the weekend for our son's soccer tournament. Check in was seamless with the text link that was sent, all we had to do was go to the front desk and pick up our keys. I had 2 rooms and was only sent 1 link - I called the front desk and within 30 seconds I had an additional link. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good, hotel was clean and pool was great. Would stay here again!

The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is nice. The breakfast was great and the staff was very nice.bo would stay there again. It's nice to be able to use the fitness center and pool 24 hours a day.

I stayed here for 3 to 4 nights. Each morning I would what renew the room. On the fourth morning I checked out only to have to check back in an hour later. Check in is at 3:00. So I booked a King room in hope of having the same room. I called to let them know that I would be staying another night and I made my reservation online. An inquired about having the same room which the clerk said that I could but that it was in the middle of getting cleaned that very moment. So I then asked could I check in early because I did not have anything to do in town that day. The man said that I could check in at 1pm. I came back at 1pm, I checked in, then went to my same room that I had been staying in for the previous nights and nothing had been done as far as cleaning goes except for fresh towels. Remember the clerk I spoke to said that they were in the middle of cleaning that room when I called to ask stay in that same room. When I had checked out, I left a pretty generous tip. I go on the room, first thing I noticed was small bits of paper on the hard wood floor. No big deal I thought.. Until my friend (who years ago used to clean hotel rooms at the Hampton inn Florida) who was with me decided to check the sheets, and so she pulled the duvet and sheets back and you could definitely tell those sheets were the same sheets that I slept on. My mom called it, "flipping the sheets"? In the bathroom, no trash bag, but when I first checked in, there wasn't a trash bag in it either, so maybe they didn't do that at the hotel. Also there was hair on the bathroom floor. It seems to me that the house keeper simply just replaced the towels and wiped down the desk. That is not cool. I spent a lot of money there, and to get a room that your told was being cleaned that they very moment... Come on now. Not cool at all. Not to mention the breakfast.. That's a whole another story. It is what it is, but I probably will look elsewhere when I'm back in town. If the house keepers are flipping sheets in least 1 room, I can almost guarantee you they're doing it in other rooms too.

The room was perfect for me. I needed a washer and dryer and they had coins at the front desk. The dryer actually dried a whole load of laundry on one run. The front desk was professional. Great price.

It's an ok hotel. It is a little dated and could use some updating. Was extremely noisy because of the teen bowling league in town... those kids are rowdy.
