Hotel Review: Solid, But With a Few Plot Twists Was this the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at? Nope. Was it the worst? Also nope—so buckle up for a tale of “perfectly fine with a side of meh.” The Good Stuff (and there’s plenty): The front desk crew deserves a standing ovation. These folks made us feel genuinely welcome and valued, like we were VIPs instead of just two tired travelers. The rooms were spotless—seriously, give Keanna a raise, a promotion, and maybe her own holiday. The bed was comfortably plush, and the balcony offered prime seating for those glorious lake sunrises (nature’s free show, no ticket required). The hotel was mostly clean, the pool was large, sparkling, and never felt like a crowded splash zone, and the men’s side of the spa was legitimately great. Oh, and the food and drinks? Tasty and reasonably priced—exactly what you want after a long day of… whatever you’re doing in the Village. The “Bless Your Heart” Moments: The hotel sits smack in the middle of the Village, which has all the lively energy of an empty movie set designed by an overzealous HOA. Think rows of pristine but vacant storefronts and enough rules “for everyone’s enjoyment” to make you wonder if laughter is also regulated. The pool is open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.—aka the exact window when the deck turns into a literal Floor Is Lava situation. You’ll be hopping around like a barefoot cartoon character while the sun tries to grill your soles. When I asked why the hours were so… tropical, they hit me with the classic: “child labor laws.” Sure, that explains everything. Spa experiences were a bit of a mixed bag. My wife discovered the women’s hot tub was broken and sadly missed out on her post-massage mimosa (a tragedy). The massages themselves? Just… meh. Average at best. We both left feeling like we’d paid for a solid participation trophy. Also, after extensive searching, I can confirm there is no casino. Zero gambling apparatus in sight. This place is apparently trying to stay family-friendly, which is great if you’re traveling with kids and terrible if you were hoping to win back your vacation money at 2 a.m. Final Verdict: Would I come back? Sure, especially if the rates are right. Would I pay full price? …Let’s just say I’d need a little persuasion (or at least a working hot tub and some evening pool access). It’s a decent hotel with excellent people and a few quirks that keep things interesting. Solid 3.5 stars—perfect for a “good enough to relax, funny enough to tell stories about” kind of trip.

The front desk crew, the housekeeping, the porters, everyone has been nothing short of fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about the staff! If I ever come back to Henderson/Las Vegas I will happily stay here again.
