Hotel Renaissance Long Beach

Came for my cousins wedding in Long Beach and took this hotel which is ok and I’ll tell you that the service SUCKS!!!! No complimentary breakfast , water or so!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE COME HERE WHEN THERE IS COMPETITION OUT THERE WITH OTHER HOTELS???? I’ll never come back and truthfully this is not even a 1 star

The Long Beach Marriott is a wonderful place to stay! It's underrated for it's 3-star status, the hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool area for adults and kids, waterfalls (kids don't try to get in 😆), and the firepit area which I don't get why it wasn't on in the evening time. The service from the front desk was very pleasant, the staff was helpful and willing to ensure you have an excellent stay. While we didn't go to the on-site restaurant, I'm sure it's probably tasty. Rooms were great, beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was nice. Would I stay here again, I'd give an enthusiastic yes!

Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The gym is a huge plus along woth the two pools. Great lobby with a nice upscale feel. I feel the value is fair.

I had a mixed experience during my recent stay. While the room was clean and suitable for my needs, and the pool area is quite nice, there were significant service and value issues that would make me hesitant to return. Dining: Be aware that the restaurants are separate organizations from the hotel. The breakfast options are very expensive ($28 USD for the buffet), and unfortunately, the quality did not match the price. The pastries and French toast were not fresh. Furthermore, while the front desk stated breakfast was served until 10:00 AM, the staff began closing the buffet at 9:30 AM, making us feel rushed. I would recommend looking for food options off-site. Guest Shuttles: There seems to be a major lack of communication between management and front desk staff regarding guest transportation. We were initially offered a shuttle to the Long Beach Exchange (LBX), but when we called for the return trip as instructed, the agent claimed they "don't do shuttles for guests." While they eventually honored the ride, the interaction was unprofessional and made us feel like a significant inconvenience. Overall, while the physical property is well-maintained, the lack of coordination between departments and the poor value of the breakfast made for a frustrating stay.

Recently, I helped decorate a friend’s daughter’s birthday party at this hotel. While moving flower vases with a hotel cart, one vase accidentally tipped over and spilled water onto the carpet. I immediately apologized, and my friend who hosted the party even offered to cover any cleaning costs if necessary. What disappointed me was the party manager’s repeated rude and angry behavior toward me and my friend, even after the situation had been addressed. The reaction felt excessive and unprofessional, especially since the carpet already had visible stains from previous events. Because of this experience, I no longer wish to use or recommend this hotel. I hope Marriott will place greater importance on respectful customer service and professionalism.

I had a wonderful stay at this Marriott! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. Can't wait to return!

The Marriott over by the airport sucked big time. They overcharged for room service every time you call for room service is five dollars and then they charge me for a property damage which they never told me about until I got there. They say usually they charge 50 but they charge me 100 come on now. I will never stay there ever again and then the beds and the pillows was very uncomfortable and then they didn’t even have a trashcan in the room. They suckkkkkk Big time .

I went to a 70th birthday party there. Everything was handled professionally, and the food was good!

Loction is airport close. Hotel rooms are updated amenities except for the bed. I was shocked the beds were soft with "permanent failed spings were people lay and sit." Yes, taco bed... bed like your body is laying in a bath tub. Bed gets a 1 star. Also noted, they removed the jacuzzi and replaced it with a fire pit. Fail. This hotel has gone downhill and instead of the owners going all the way and getting new beds, they put some lipstick on this place and are ignoring the most important part of your stay (the bed quality). Photo of mattress shows it's a saggy edge with a cotton topper...horrible sunken bed springs all over.
