loved how easy it was to get to the convention center and everything else in Louisville. The staff at the campground are over-the-top friendly. The walking path across the road is perfect for walking the dogs, and the park right there is great for getting in some extra exercise—basketball and pickleball included! We were here for a conference, but we also fell in love with the area and would absolutely return because the entire experience was fantastic. And don’t forget to visit the Slugger Museum! 😀
If you are allergic to cats, don’t stay here! You will probably die. They are everywhere, even in the camp store on the counters! I was afraid to even do my laundry because of the cat hair but did anyways. Every time I walked out of the store, my kids said I smelled like cat pee. Very small sites! No fire rings and barely any room to park your car. The old lady with the glasses was very rude and didn’t care to please her customers. The black guy that worked in the shop and the red head guy was super nice though. I feel sorry for them with them having to work in that environment. I will say the location was excellent though. Just wish the place was bigger and nicer and more customer oriented.
It's a working campground with outstanding access to downtown Louisville. The people are direct, and the facilities are well maintained. This is about as good as it gets for a working campground, or if you need to overnight. They have a well stocked store, and propane and fuel are both available. Pet friendly, too. Yes, the train tracks are near by, but were never an issue in two months of staying there. Highly recommended.
This was a very tight crowded campground. The staff was super friendly, bathrooms were clean, shower was separate. We had 4 adults and were given one key to access the facilities. It was very hard to maneuver through the lot to leave. There is a train track right next to it that trains ran all night.
Very small sites. Do not trust them to guide you to your camp site. They guided our friend to their camp site. Following their directions our friend scrapped their camper against the corner of their building. The Campground refused responsibility.
The spaces were very tight and didn't feel real safe. It rained and there was an oil slick on the pooled water on street that smelled of kerosene. The registration office is full of cats and Trump hats and stickers. Happy to leave the next day. We won't be back.
Our friends joined us at this place. Upon checking in the store advised their employer will direct you into the campground. The employees direction resulted in our friend hitting the corner of their building. If you must patronize this place do not place confidence in their employees. Especially the younger red headed male.
First off I will say the two staff members were wonderful ( young and great workers!) the laundry room was off the office/store and was only $2 per load to wash AND dry!!! And they worked well! There is a nice walking /run/bike path at corner of street . The location is right off highway close to everything in Louisville and a few state parks . Everything else is downhill from there. Thank God we asked for a pull through! All sites are very tight. If you open your awning you touch the neighboring camper. All gravel no shade or grass no rings. They had picnic tables but … When I stepped out if my truck there was dog poop 1”from my foot! This place is basically a parking lot and look just like the campers Inn Rv center sales park and storage - campers are that close! There is also a very loud train that runs directly Behind campground!
First let’s start with the good things! The staff was friendly and helpful and the bathrooms were clean. The rest of the place was a literal parking lot with hookups. If you are wanting to do anything but squeeze in and sleep you may want a different place.
A parking lot and not a clean one. Lots of bottle caps etc no one cleans up. Tight spaces! The picnic tables have been outside in the weather for years. Badly weathered and warped unusable. No fire pits. We were backed up to the hillside and up on top of the hill is the train track. Several trains everynight. Shook the camper but more than that worried me. What if they derail? We are all dead. Also in the direct flight pattern from the airport. The one good thing was very clean bathrooms and showers. Such a surprise.
