Ash Mill Farm Bed & Breakfast

What a wonderful stay overnight my husband and I had at this quaint inn. The rooms were warm and cozy. The location was down the road from peddlers village , which was terrific. Tracy the inn keeper was welcoming and prepared us a delicious breakfast, the next morning. We will definitely be back.

I had an amazing and cozy stay last weekend. Jeff, Daniel, and Samantha were extremely accommodating, but Poe is really the boss. I look forward to staying again the next time I'm in town.

I have stayed at a lot of B&Bs and I love old houses so I expect some quirks. Unfortunately this went beyond quirky. The bed was horribly uncomfortable, there were dead bugs on the floor and it the windowsill, and the shower was streaky and green. The innkeepers never introduced themselves or gave us their names. The farm is beautiful and serene and has so much potential but it is just not currently living up to what it could be.

Ashmill Farm gives the illusion of charm from the pictures on their website, but don’t be fooled. Whatever beauty or hospitality it once had has been run straight into the ground. We were offered an attic room with no air circulation whatsoever, on a 95° day. It was suffocating, unsafe. No fan, no alternative, no apology, just indifference and lame excuses. It’s painfully clear the owner is nowhere to be found and has handed the place over to a couple that does not seen to understand the word hospitality or anything about the B&B business. What could have been a thriving B&B is now just a cash grab with no heart, no care, and no pride. Ashmill Farm is coasting on the ghost of a reputation it no longer deserves. Don’t waste your time, your money, or your comfort here. There are far better places that still understand what the word hospitality means.

We were disappointed with our stay here as it was not what I expected from a B&B, having stayed at many others. Pros: - The innkeeper was in communication with me beforehand about breakfast, accommodated my dietary restrictions and was willing to serve my friend and I an early breakfast - Being able to put some food in the guest fridge, walk around the property and see the sheep. - It was quiet. Cons: - the bathroom wasn’t clean, toilet and floor were obviously dirty. - 3rd floor suite we stayed in was very hot. There were two bedrooms and only one had a very small AC unit which barely cooled that room and the other room was too hot to stay in. We were told fans would be brought to our room and they weren’t. Later we were told they didn’t have any. - sheets on the king bed appeared to be cheap, stretchy polyester, which I’ve never encountered at a hotel or B&B. - there was no way to lock the door when we left. The bedroom had a key, but the door to the entire floor is not lockable from the outside and the bedroom can be entered through the bathroom. - They didn’t have the usual glasses/cups for the bathroom or any nice amenities. I paid $233 a night, which isn’t very expensive for a B&B, but it’s was more than it was worth. I’ve never stayed anywhere with a dirty toilet and inability to cool the rooms. Overall the place is in need of some upkeep and better cleanliness standards. Perhaps the cottages and other rooms are nicer and cooler in summer but this was our experience. I communicated our displeasure with these things so hopefully they will be sure to clean bathrooms in the future and come up with a better way to cool and secure that space.

My husband and I loved our stay here. It was very basic, but the quiet was exactly what we needed, and the caretaker Izzy was an absolute sweetheart. The food was delicious and we loved how quiet it was. I would say the only thing I would want added is more towels. We didn't want to bug anybody, so we didn't ask so I'm not removing any stars for that. Otherwise it was an absolute respite from the daily grind. Also, the goats were adorable. :)

I was taken back with several issues lock on door, nowhere to hang clothes or dresser, no shower rails & I slipped banged my head . The fridge was not leveled . As for the TV it was awful to small not in good place to watch from bed. The main porch steps are loose & railing almost went flying. Although the peacefulness, scenery & location were perfect. The breakfast needed variety & longer time it was by 930.. please note no iron or iron board in on room requested was. given iron . I had to lay a blanket on table to iron. My favorite was no towels every 2 days or wash clothes .call me spoiled but I have to have fresh towels & housekeeping !!

Attended a weekend wedding here. Service was excellent, fully staffed, and verry reasonable cost. They have individual bungalows if u wan to stay over. Tents for inclement weather. Location is easy 2 find. .

The coziest and cutest bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. Izzy and Joe were the sweetest couple ever, best of luck for the wedding! I will definitely be coming back. The farm animals were the best part, my bf and I visited them each and every morning 😊 and the breakfast….freaking incredible I felt like anthony bourdain traveling the world at that moment.

My partner and I stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend. Really enjoyed our stay, the place is great, the animals in the farm are so cute, and the innkeepers Joe and Izzy are really friendly and accommodating. And the best part is their breakfasts are amazing!! Izzy’s chocolate chip muffin was the highlight of my stay!!

The idea of this place and the proximity to Peddler's Village is wonderful, however we unfortunately did not have an amazing experience during our stay. When we arrived, we had to request that they put a LOCK on our door - which was not previously there. The bathroom was outdated (outside of the "historic charm") and also had no locks. Whenever someone would use the bathroom the pipes would make an incredibly loud sound like aliens were landing. Lastly, despite our room having 3 beds (and advertised to fit 4), we got charged $50 extra for having 3 people instead of 2. There was no information regarding the "free wifi" available and the tv didn't work. The people who were running the establishment were very nice and made a nice home-made style breakfast which they served on a plate to each guest. The space just needs to be better managed and taken care of. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but I wanted to be honest as many of these reviews didn't state these things when I was looking. I didn't expect this place to be "Hilton hotel quality", but there were basic amenities missing that made our stay uncomfortable.
