Everything was outstanding! You absolutely MUST try the banana fosters & the brandy milk punch….WOWW!

Very good service and food.

I went in thinking I'd keep things simple and somehow ended up ordering enough food to make that plan look pretty silly. I started with Eggs Hussarde, then got the shrimp and grits, and obviously had to leave room for Bananas Foster. I also grabbed some French toast because apparently stopping myself was not happening that morning. The Eggs Hussarde were probably my favorite part. The sauce had enough richness to make the whole thing feel like a proper New Orleans breakfast without turning it into a giant heavy plate. The shrimp and grits were really good too, especially with the shrimp mixed through the creamy grits instead of sitting on top like an afterthought. Then the Bananas Foster came out and I understood why people make such a big deal about it. The warm bananas, caramel, and ice cream were almost too much after everything else, but in a very good way. What I liked most was that the place still feels like an occasion without making you feel like you need to behave a certain way. I could sit there for a while, have another coffee, and just enjoy the room. Definitely one of those meals where leaving feels a little premature.

We had a reservation for 9:45. We told them just dessert which they didn’t seem thrilled about. We aired 15mins to be seated after receiving a text our table was ready. We then were sat, given waters and menus taken. We waited another 20mins before someone talked to us. They apologized but for the price of food this was unacceptable. We got the banana foster. It was the first time the server made it so it was undercooked. She also made my wife move because she was afraid of burning her. Overall dissatisfied based on all the reviews we read.

We stopped at Brennan’s mainly to try the Bananas Foster since it originated here. Overall, it was a nice experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was very good, and the location is convenient if you’re already exploring the nearby attractions in the French Quarter. One of the best parts was the experience itself. They prepare the Bananas Foster tableside and tell you some of the history behind the dessert, which made it worth trying at least once. The dessert itself was good, but nothing extraordinary in my opinion. You’re really paying more for the experience and history behind it. It also requires a minimum of two orders at $14 each, so it can get expensive just to try the dessert. The restaurant is definitely on the nicer side, and I felt a little out of place because I wasn’t dressed as nicely as I probably should have been. Overall, a good experience, especially if you want to try Bananas Foster at the place where it originated.

I celebrate my birthday with my wife and a couple friends last Sunday at Brennan's. I cannot overstate how fantastic this experience was. We arrived dressed nicely as per the restaurant's requested dress code. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed. After a coctail at the bar, we were led to our table. Every sip, every bite, and all the service was top-tier. My wife ordered turtle soup (I had to try a bite), WOW! For something I wouldn't think to try, it was amazing! My friend and I ordered the Chef's Tasting Course. Again, AMAZING! Also... The Bananas Foster was INVENTED THERE and was GREAT! Lastly, the service was extraordinary! They made our entire table feel welcome, and made me feel special on a birthday dinner!! If you have the chance to dine here, it's a must!

Amazing atmosphere and incredible food! And very fair prices for the outstanding quality. Definitely will come back.

Excellent institution, manager was very polite and kind even after an accident. Would go again. Bananas foster was excellent.

A very special breakfast with true Louisiana hospitality - I will happy make a detour from London anytime!
