The Dunes on the Waterfront

The Dunes on the Waterfront was a beautiful oasis! Everything from the cottage , to the pool, to the ocean just a few steps away was amazing. The grounds were immaculate and rooms were very clean. The location was also perfect for those who like to bike or walk into town. My only feedback is updating the bikes and adding baskets! Otherwise, I cannot wait to return!

I am writing to share how much my family and I enjoyed our recent stay at The Dunes on the Waterfront from June 26 through June 29. Our experience was nearly perfect. While the property is conveniently close to Route 1 and the vibrant atmosphere of Ogunquit, we were impressed by how private and beautiful the location felt. It served as a peaceful retreat, seemingly far removed from the crowds that were only a few steps away. We truly appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property; as guests, these small touches did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, I want to specifically commend your staff, including Traci and Abigail, who went above and beyond to make our visit wonderful. In particular, Katie exceeded all expectations as a manager to ensure our stay was truly memorable. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. My family and I are already looking forward to returning next year.

The Dunes surpassed my expectations as a place to stay in Maine. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. The landscaping is impeccable. Having a pool on the premises and access to the beach is terrific. They deliver coffee in the morning in a thermos to the Cottage which is a fabulous treat. The Dunes works well for a multigenerational vacation.

The Dunes on the Waterfront is absolutely incredible. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. The cottage is well appointed and so comfortable. The accessible bikes, pool and beach were great fun for our entire family. Breakfast delivery was the best surprise every morning. Highly suggest this location for your next Maine trip!

I should gate keep this because this hotel is one of my absolute favorites but it's too good to keep quiet. Everything about the Dunes is perfection. We've now been for the last two years with our kids and extended family and can't recommend it enough. The staff makes everything feel easy and light and the location is stunning. The location is amazing, but if you never left the property, you'd have an absolutely incredible vacation.

Absolutely beautiful!! Perfectly decorated cottages. Beautiful inside & out! So picturesque. We stayed in the Lookout cottage. The service was exceptional. Breakfast and coffee delivered every morning with the paper was amazing. We especially appreciated the golf cart service to and from town, the bikes, and kayaks. Thank you to the team for making our stay memorable.

Our stay at The Dunes was absolutely perfect! Our cottage was spotless, cozy, and perfect for our needs traveling with our young son. The resort was the ideal mix of kid-friendly while also being beautiful and relaxing for adults. We loved the pool, access to the beach, fire pit, and yard games. The food, coffee, and cocktails from the cafe were excellent and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The Dunes is an easy walk to town, which is also a bonus. We couldn’t have had a better stay and are already discussing our next trip back!

Exceptional location, service, natural beauty!

This place is a hidden gem. It's like stepping back in time. The only thing we would have done differently is stay longer. Cannot wait to come back.

A magical place! We loved it so much. The cottages are beautiful, cozy, clean & high end in every aspect. The setting and views makes you feel like you’re living in a post card. There are so many extra touches that make it special like the nightly s’mores, coffee and local pastries delivered in the morning, Le Labo toiletries, and the complimentary snacks and drinks stocked in our cottage. They could easily make every one of these an added expense like the place we’re at now, but they don’t and I hope they never do. It is really special and sets them apart. We also loved the golf cart shuttle service and beach gear! It made everything so easy and enjoyable with our young family. We were a little sad that we missed the boat shuttle because of low tide, but that just gives us another reason to come back. The Dunes offers such a unique and memorable experience. We’d happily return again. Highly recommend!

The Dunes on the Waterfront has beautifully decorated cottages with a gorgeous view. The amenities are over the top from muffins and coffee delivered to you each morning and a basket of treats in your room to a pool and rides over to the beach every detail is attended to for a welcoming stay!
