The hotel is definitely dated, and the rooms have an older, musty smell. That said, the room was clean, I felt safe throughout my stay, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. One of the biggest advantages is the location. It's directly across the street from a great shopping plaza with several excellent restaurants and a CVS, which was very convenient. It's also about a 10-minute walk to the Convention Center, making it a practical choice if you're attending an event there. If you're looking for modern accommodations, this may not be the best fit. However, if your priorities are cleanliness, safety, a convenient location, and friendly service, it gets the job done.
The stay was the biggest mistake during our Orlando trip. This hotel is very out-dated. The check-in system, parking gate and most importantly rooms. The check-in staffs are nice but there was no auto check-in or we couldn't choose our room. As soon as I walked into a room, it smelled like rotten socks. The carpet was stinky and smelly. Some positive reviews mentioned daily cleaning but default cleaning is every 4 day linen refill and deep cleaning every 7 days which, I think, explains the smell and a room status. The bathroom shower faucet was leaking. The internet kept disconnected. Do not stay here unless you are okay with garbage smell and uncomfortable beds.
Very reasonable rates. Nice hotel. Walking distance of the Orange County Convention Center (if you walk 15-20 minutes daily). Many eating places within walking distance.
**** update*** What a let down this hotel is now. Mr Rosen must be spinning in his grave. Sheets only changed once in 2 weeks. Toilet/ bathroom not cleaned for 2 weeks. Not enough towels left and had to fetch fresh each day as the phone didn't work. Had to move rooms as fridge flooded the room. Bugs in the room daily on the 3rd floor. Walkways outside rooms were very dirty and never cleaned. I always used and recommended this hotel as it was basic but clean. Its not even clean now. I can't recommend going forward unless cleaning improves significantly. Such a shame as this hotel will close if it doesn't buck its ideas up! This is great solid budget hotel. The bathrooms are super clean. The beds are very comfortable and I slept well every night. The towels are bright white and very fluffy. The bed linens are very clean too. The maids do an exceptionally good job of keeping the rooms clean. The hotel is very well located opposite the pointe. The bar and deli were great too slightly expensive but it's to be expected. All staff were friendly and welcoming. My only negative is that the rooms are dark and could do with a refurb but I would absolutely stay here again.
If I could give zeros I would. We drove to Disney and didn’t get to the hotel until 2:30am. The hotel was absolutely disgusting. Stains on sheets, mold on ceilings, mold on shower tiles, smelled, and the door was busted. We were exhausted after a 22hr drive, so we made it work. The front desk didn’t seem to care much. Horrible hotel. Do not stay here.
I drive to Orlando 2 or 3 times a year for volleyball tournaments at the OCCC. I have stayed at nearly every hotel in the area surrounding the convention center. While the Rosen is not the fanciest or nicest - given its location, the value can not be beat. Yes, the rooms are a little outdated. And yes, they open up to the outside vs. an indoor hallway. But, the service is friendly. The location is amazing. Parking is abundant. Would I eat here? No. There are too many other restaurants around. But for a clean, comfortable place to sleep - in the middle of the I-Drive corridor and within walking distance to the OCCC? You can not do better for the price than the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando. Stay here and spend your money on the parks, food and souvenirs! Or in my case, $15 acai bowls and tournament hoodies!
