The room, breakfast, and amenities were great for its price. The reception and checking out process were quite unacceptable. I checked in pretty late at night and the lobby was so dark already, I requested late check out as an IHG Diamond member but somehow it was not honored. I suspected that it had something to do with the reception because our keycards stopped working after the first of three nights stay. After explaining the issue with another reception, she asked ‘how many nights you are staying?’ That’s weird as if they didn’t see my reservation. After she swapped our keycards there were no issues until the last day. Someone knocking our door and ask what time you are checking out and I replied to her. She said okay no problem. Then someone called to our room asking for the name of the receptionist who applied our late check out request, wow, how can I remember the name? Does a guest suppose to remember who checked you in? The tone of the person in the call was not so friendly and made us feel like not welcoming at all. I’ve never experienced anything like this since I became a Diamond member for several years. Just a warning to any guest that this establishment is not quite courteous as it seems to loyal members.

I entered into my stay here with my mom She unfortunately had to be transferred via 911 to the hospital and died Because I thought check out was at noon instead of 1100, the manager called the police to escort me out of the building for criminal trespassing after a 5 day stay Would you like to be treated with the same compassion after your mother dies? Then stay here for a great time:)!

I had a great stay at the Avid Hotel in Plano. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was also really nice, with a good variety to start the day. Alex at the front desk stood out for being especially professional, friendly, and welcoming—great customer service! The breakfast staff also deserve recognition; they are hardworking and greet guests with a warm “good morning,” which really adds a positive touch to the experience. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The location is convenient. Rooms look like the pictures, clean, and practical. Staff is friendly including housekeeping. They supply toiletries. Their channels are better than luxury hotels & you can stream on your TV. Free balanced breakfast in the morning & the gym has nice equipment also. I will stay again.

I’m honestly really disappointed with my stay. While the front desk staff was friendly, the experience with housekeeping was the complete opposite. The housekeeping supervisor and a couple of the housekeepers were not friendly at all. Only one of them was actually kind and pleasant to interact with. Another issue was the surprise charges at checkout. I clearly mentioned that I had dogs when I made my reservation. I booked online and even called afterward just to make sure it was noted. When I checked out, they added extra fees that were never explained upfront. I was told the general manager had originally not charged for my dogs, which made the situation even more confusing. What bothered me the most was being accused of trying to hide my dogs. The general manager said she checked the cameras and implied I wasn’t honest. That’s simply not true. I never tried to hide them and was upfront about having them from the beginning. Overall, the lack of communication, the unexpected fees, and being accused of something I didn’t do left a really bad impression. I hope management works on better communication and treats guests with more respect.

Ten out of ten!!! The room is big, organized and super clean!! The entire hotel smell good like perfume all over the place, and the staffs are so kind and friendly always with a smile on their faces. It's relieved to come stay here after the long flight. The breakfast has plenty of options. It's delicious and feel satisfied after the meal. I will definitely recommend all the travelers to stay here not only one night, but several nights to enjoy this town.
