Flagship Inn

Love the Flagship! Clean, quiet room and clean bathroom. Beautiful balcony overlooking Oyster Bay. Also, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The room was clean and the view was so nice. It was a nice sunny day to sit out in the balcony and enjoy the view. There was a nice little pet area in the back for you fur baby to use. I loved that they did gouge you for the pet fee! It was a cute and quiet place to stay the night. Both gentlemen at the front desk were super nice and helpful.

So this review is.. a bit overdue. I hate that, but better late then never. So I took a trip out to the area from out of state last summer (2025) with some family to see some family, and spent a whole week at this hotel. First thing I got to say is; Don't let the exterior turn you away. It does, or maybe did, at this time, look like it could use a spruce out front. Not bad, but it doesn't look like it was built yesterday. Though honestly, I think the thing that most had me raising an eyebrow when we first pulled in was the giant "MOTEL" sign out front. They should replace it with "FLAGSHIP INN" or maybe just "INN," because this place does not make me think "Motel," as if it were cheap and run down. It is definitely what I would call an "Inn;" a nice place to stay that is cozy and clean. Having said that, I can say that what this hotel may lack on its outside structure, it more then makes up for inside. The lobby is very nice. Gave me an "Independence Inn" (from the Show Gilmore Girls) vibe when I walked in. Smelled nice, looked nice. You can tell it was put together with the intent of being homey rather then luxurious, which I liked. They even had a shelf of VHS tapes in the lobby you can check out. VHS.. tapes you put in a thing they used to call a VCR. I couldn't believe it. I hadn't used a VHS since probably 1999, but they had them. At first I thought this made them look a little cheap; opting for old VHS's instead of modern systems.. but no! Every room has a modern TV system and full internet and cable. The VHS shelf is just a fun little vintage thing they do. The Staff was great. Very helpful and welcoming. They were kind and happy to give all the information necessary up front. Throughout the week, there was always someone at the front desk, and they were always attentive to their job even when they were alone; standing at the desk, not slacking off on their phone or anything like that. They also provide a complimentary breakfast every morning in their lobby. We checked it out one morning, and it wasn't bad. They had all kinds of snack and on-the-go kinds of breakfast foods.. most of which I'm sorry to say I can't recall exactly what they were, but I remember there was a variety of options that appealed to me. Though one thing I definitely remember is they had muffins which I really liked. What I can definitively say is it wasn't a traditional breakfast served buffet style - bacon, egg's, sausage, etc. - like most hotel's do, but we thought it was still a pretty good selection, especially being free. And honestly, I can say I liked Flagships free breakfast better then the one we got at a fancier hotel we stayed at in Utah on this same trip; where the bacon was kinda rubbery and the "eggs" were made from a powder, and not real eggs.. The breakfast we saw at Flagship was at least genuine food. The Rooms were very nice. Even to this day, I think back fondly of my room. Nice furniture, everything was clean and well kept. Nice TV set that looked very modern. There were plenty of outlets to plug things into. The view from these rooms is probably the hotels best selling point. The water front view is really great! There was also a pool available at the Flagship too. I didn't dip into it, but my room was directly above it. It was pretty nice from what I saw. The water was crystal clear, and people seemed to enjoy it. I'll probably be going back to Washington before too long, and when I do, I'll be staying at this hotel.

What can I say but wow! Driving by you would think its just a little old motel, but inside behind the freshly painted walls its like stepping back to when people took pride in their business and try to impress the customer. The rooms are so perfect and clean, wonderful thick plush carpet,a million dollar view it feels like you are at your grandparents house so cozy and comfortable. I am so impressed.

Top notch good night stay. Has sound barrier against the road noise. Personable service. New carpet plush. Everything I needed. The view of course was excellent. Shower was hot and good pressure. My first time, but while traveling my first choice will be here.

Had to make a last minute stop and was very impressed. For the price the room was very spacious with great amenities. The unique design and motif was pleasant. Everything was very clean, the staff was very courteous, check in/out was fast and simple. Excellent location for those wanting to stay in town, but still avoid too much noise pollution.

Writing this from my room looking out on beautiful Oyster Bay. The Flagship is an adorable old school hotel. Yes, it is a bit outdated, but to me that is part of its charm. It has character and is not a boring, cookie cutter hotel that could be anywhere in the country. This hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The bed is cozy and the view is gorgeous. It’s convenient to Downtown Bremerton and several restaurants, Starbucks, and Walgreens. The front desk person is very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Very retro looking from the outside, but inside it was very modern and comfortable. Every room has a view, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. The staff was exceptional, and home made cookies were made available in the lobby in the evening. VHS movies are available for viewing, but there were so many channels on the tv to watch, we didn't have a chance to watch any. A very nice stay here, we will be back. We highly recommend!
