Red Room

Owner is rude and needs to learn how to speak to people. Rediculous cover charge for what it is.

I recently attended a comedy show at the Red Room with my elderly, handicapped aunt, and the experience was deeply upsetting due to the insensitive and unprofessional behavior of the owner. My aunt relies on a walker for mobility, and instead of offering support, the owner, who appeared intoxicated, began shouting, "Can someone come get your friend?" and took her walker away, refusing to allow her to use it to safely navigate the stairs. My aunt, being the kind and empathetic person she is, calmly attempted to explain how the owner’s behavior made her feel, and offered gentle advice on how to better handle similar situations in the future. Unfortunately, the owner was unwilling to listen or engage in a respectful conversation. My aunt, who had tickets for another show later in the week, was visibly upset by the entire exchange. I calmly informed the owner that I would be writing a review about how insensitive and discriminatory her behavior was toward handicapped individuals. Rather than showing any understanding, she whined, "No, I’m not," to which I responded, "Yes, you are," and walked away. Some staff members witnessed the incident and saw my aunt collapse into tears. Thankfully, the manager stepped in and offered to refund our tickets, which we appreciate. However, no refund can make up for the way my aunt was treated. I hope Red Room takes steps to train their staff, particularly the owner, in how to treat all patrons with the dignity and respect they deserve, regardless of their physical abilities.

We purchased tickets to a show at the Red Room three hours before showtime because we had just been informed that the show we had tickets for that evening had been cancelled. When we arrived at the Red Room there was no one at the door and no notice posted informing us that the show had been cancelled. Nor had we received a phone text or call to let us know that because "only five tickets were sold" they simply didn't bother to show up. It was the last night of our stay in PTown and the 10pm show we had tickets to the previous evening at The Post Office Cafe and Cabernet had been pushed forward to 7pm without our knowledge (we were informed of that time change when we showed up at their door at 7:45pm for dinner). My twenty year old daughter had been looking forward to seeing the shows; the entertaining get away was her birthday wish and because of her age was limited to entertainment options. SO. . . BUYER BEWARE cause the Red Room doesn't care about you or your plans. We got a refund but no apology. I was by told the Red Room owner that their establishment " has a chill atmosphere " and " I'm glad you won't come back ."

Posted previously how awesome to meet spectacular owner Janet, her business partner Alan, and Janet’s incredible husband Henry. Saw two great shows but forgot to mention: amazingly talented Sutten Lee Seymour and Edie: Queen of the Desert (or is it Dessert! 😂). My partner Paul and I met the amazing owner Janet, her business partner and her incredible husband Henry while we randomly met at Carnivale parade. They told us about Red Room in the heart of PTown action. We went to two shows. Both absolutely fabulous! Affordable, great cocktails, and wonderful staff. We are making this a stop every time we visit. Highest recommendation. Thanks Janet and Henry! See you next visit!

The worst experience at a gay club in my life. I thought this venue would have been worth the $25 cover… but it was not. Tiniest venue I’ve ever been to in my life — so cramped and smelled like the inside of a locker room. If you like claustrophobia and decaying meat please enjoy. Not my cup of tea.

Lovely smaller venue in PTown. All the cuties perform here! Alan is a joy to work with. Great place to perform & to see a show!

Fantastic shows!

We saw Sutton Lee Seymour performing Broadway Barbie and had a blast. Sutton Lee is quite funny and has a good time with the audience. Good drinks, good venue.

My wife and I saw a couple of shows this week, and we had an amazing time! The staff are friendly, the drinks are great, and the owners Alan and Janet make you feel very welcomed as soon as you walk in. Vancie's Dolly performance was spot on, and Zoe Lewis's Speakeasy Variety show was so entertaining and fun! We will definitely be back!
