Su questo posto Sacramento Rainbow Festival

The Sacramento Rainbow Festival is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs a free LGBTQ+ street fair in Lavender Heights, the gay district around 20th and K Streets in Midtown, every Labor Day weekend. The fair has stages, vendors and community booths, and the neighbourhood's gay bars are busy all weekend. It is separate from Sacramento Pride in June, which the Sacramento LGBT Community Center runs. Outside the festival weekend there is no office to visit. Check the festival's social channels in late summer for that year's dates and street closures.

Hidden gem. This trail is PERFECT for bike riding. You won't find better views of the Sacramento River. And the geology is amazing.

This trail not only connects Down town redding to Shasta lake damn, it provides so many off shoot trails that you could ride all year and never have to do the same thing.

Walking along the river is always relaxing and in the summer guaranteed cool breezes!! Love it! I generally park at the Sundial bridge and walk from that area towards the Lake Redding Park!!

I’m sharing with you photos I've taken along the Sacramento River Trail. I'm talking about the trail on the north side of the river from Diestelhorst Bridge to Keswick Dam. The south end has been closed following the Carr Fire due to a couple foot bridges being out. But the trail can be accessed to the one mile marker. The trail is fenced off from there. The north side is completely open. The north side trail I most often walk with my dog Bodie, and my last dog Toby. I've taken photos showing how that trail looks now, but not dwelling on the devastation. It's awkward to say, but there is beauty in the burned landscape depending on how you look at it. It also depends on the time of day and how the light hits it from the sun. I've arranged some of the photos I’ve taken since the fire and put them together with some of my photos from the past. There's a few before and after. But the point is to show there is beauty in the past, present and future. Mother Nature is making sure of that. Even though it's as dry out there as it is, in many places you'll see new growth cropping up. Patches of green are sprouting and spreading with new life coming back into view. And the Rotary Club has planted California Poppy seeds throughout the hillside. I encourage those who use the trail, to acknowledge the look of desolation, but also to look for the beauty. It will be difficult for some at first. On the trail the other day, a biker passed me near the Ribbon Bridge. As he rode past me he said, "Hope you enjoy your walk in the wasteland." That hit me like a whip! I don't want to see a wasteland when beauty’s still there. It’s okay to hurt. Yes, much has been ravaged. But you’ve got to have an open mind. When you do, patterns and colors come together in shapes that will surprise and inspire you. For those who do go out, I hope you will celebrate all that gorgeous new life. Spring is on its way.

Wow! What can I say! This trail is amazing. My buddy, James and I came down here to geocache and hike and was this ever a workout. Parking is plentiful. The view is nice (rushing water). I will point out that I saw some evidence of drug use (a bag of pot) which may or may not indicate anything. Keep your eyes open, come here during the day, and be safe. '"nuff said.

I suggest riding from Shasta dam and ride down and back for a good workout, You can also park at Keswick boat launch and ride from there too. Trail is paved all the way from dam to Sundial bridge in redding.

Beautiful view of the river, great walking trail or for biking, blading, pushing a baby stroller or walking the dog. Peaceful to walk in a gentle rain. A relaxing way to start the day!

Walk, ride, or being pushed in a stroller are ways to enjoy our Beautiful Redding. The Sacramento river trail is beautiful and different places are just serene. If you are going to run alone-take a dog....I love Redding and the Sacramento trail.

We were so glad we stopped here to bike. The trail was perfect with sun and shade along the way. It can be used by young and old.
