My go-to bar, and for good reason. Always meet great people here, and the bartenders are all wonderful.

Genuinely one of the best bar experiences I've had since moving to Seattle — and I needed it. As a Black person who's new to the city, I'll be honest: Capitol Hill's gay bar scene had me feeling like an outsider more often than not. CCs changed that. The vibe here is inclusive in a way that actually means something — not performative, not selective. People here are just... themselves. Nobody trying too hard to be something or prove something. That energy is rare and it matters. The bartenders Lonnie and Brix were phenomenal — attentive, personable, made you feel like you'd been coming in for years. I'm sure the whole staff brings that same energy. The music is a major plus. They actually play a real mix — R&B, different genres — and they've got a digital jukebox so you're not held hostage by whatever the DJ feels like that night. Refreshing compared to places that just default to the same pop/dance loop all evening. If you're new to Seattle, queer, and feeling like the scene isn't really making room for you — try CCs. It made room for me.

One of the best gay bars we have visited. Made to feel very welcome by the bartenders and locals. Good quality beverages and great events while we were there. Fab place.

I’ve been a regular here for about 7 years, from the “we’ll never charge a cover” era to the current cover charge with DJ nights and touring Flex events. Through all the changes, it’s still one of the most affordable and consistent neighborhood bars on the hill. The pours are strong, bartenders are solid, and you can still get an $8 double well or a $10 mid-shelf double pour, which is rare these days. There are also good options if you want low or no ABV drinks. Bartenders can feel a bit stiff on very busy nights, which makes sense to get through lines, but overall service is dependable. I haven’t agreed with every change over time—especially the decision to remove water stations and limit free access during events—but I really appreciated seeing they’ve now installed a bottle/glass filler, which they’re still connecting. That feels like a meaningful step toward accessibility. Still one of my go-to spots on the hill. Always a good vibe. Side note- only food option is mini Pringle cans, bring your own takeout order.
