A fun place to visit in this alternate bar. A must stop to visit and socialize. It's a great bar. 5 🌟 $$
The Owner Really Needs To Be Careful Who They Are Hiring As Bartenders There, I Had The Worst Experience Ever For Pride Weekend Most Definitely Will Not Be Coming Back, Especially NOT FOR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE
Avoid. The automatic 50 dollar fee they put on your card, is annoying. But they do warn and provide a number to speed return of funds..... Went to the bathroom, put my tab booklet on top of my drink. Came back and everything was gone. Very rude bartender told me there was nothing he Would do, and turned his back on me. Yeah. Avoid, if you require basic service.
I was really disappointed by my experience at Enigma over Pride weekend. The first night I went during Pride, no one checked my ID at all—not at the door or at the bar. The very next day, my ID was checked three separate times: once at the door, again when I walked up to the bar, and again when I ordered a drink. I politely asked why the process was so inconsistent because it genuinely confused me. While the bartender I initially asked was explaining, an older staff member interrupted, became aggressive, and repeatedly yelled, “I’m a fag working on Pride!” at me. I wasn’t arguing or causing a scene—I had simply asked a question. The interaction made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I ended up setting my drink down because I no longer felt comfortable staying. Instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, I was told, “You can leave.” I’ve also heard from multiple people that female-presenting customers are often made to wait longer for service while the bartenders prioritize gay men. I can’t speak to whether that’s intentional, but after my experience, I can understand why people feel that way. As a lesbian, I expected to feel welcome in an LGBTQ+ space. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and uncomfortable. I won’t be returning.
