Absolutely beautiful experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The cottage you stay in is clean and pristine. I absolutely adored how they styled the interior. My spa experience was also wonderful. Please consider treating yourself to this establishment. I will be back soon.
Stayed in the Bradford 2 bedroom suite. Bedrooms and bathrooms were fine and well appointed. Lower level sitting area is small but adequately spaced with a functional little kitchenette area. The loveseat passed its prime about 2 decades ago and was virtually unusable to sit on, leaving a straight back wooden chair and and an arm chair for viable sitting options.
Perfect location for our house and garden tours, firat class restaraunt on site and elegant, comfortable acomodations. I love historic hotels and the Inn is top notch!
Interesting Inn with rooms spread out in different little houses. Our one night stay was mostly satisfactory. Dinner at the Krazy Kat restaurant on the property was good. The bathroom in the room was very large with a really good shower. The sink had some mold buildup in the caulk behind the faucets. The bed was comfortable. The tv was outdated and limited. Unfortunately the room smelled strongly musty and I had to sleep with the window open facing the main road. The place is charming and it needs TLC.
I’ve been staying here for breaks from life since the late 90s and it has always been amazing! Even though I missed the little chocolate on the pillow and the astromaria in the bathroom, it still stands for me an amazing stay. The rooms are so unique and it’s fun to stay in a different one each time and the spa was a wonderful addition several years ago and you can’t miss Krazy Kats! Delicious as always, and this main stay in Delaware has stood the test of time through the pandemic. I can’t forget to mention the beautiful great room as well and if you get the chance, hit the back burner if you are in the area, another great place! Amazing sheets comfy beds pillows Bathroom quality top notch with the size and marble Grounds lovely and picturesque Quiet in a soothing way 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 7/20/25-still amazing 😻 4/2026 beautiful as always great service bring back the flowers and chocolate in room!
We stayed one night while visiting Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. We had a lovely room with a well outfitted bathroom, complete with robes and a towel warmer. We also had a microwave and fridge with complementary soda, water and coffee. The lobby area was beautifully decorated for Christmas, the hearth was lit and we sat in the lobby for a few hours in the evening. We had a great stay and would definitely return!
To begin with this was far from cozy. The 2 room suite was a very tiny cottage with a very small sitting area for 4 people. Not very comfortable. They also don't tell you that you have to walk up and down small sets of steps and across walkways to get to your "suite" with your luggage. The man at the desk was not very personable. Would not hurt to smile. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Also, they could not accommodate 4 people at the same time for spa services with 6 weeks advance notice.
