The Westin Wilmington

Traveled here on a work trip and this hotel was extremely nice. Must nicer than I was expecting. The beds were so comfortable I had some of the best sleep I've ever had in months. The hotel restaurant food was pretty good as well. I very much enjoyed my time and all the amenities the hotel has to offer

An absolutely wonderful stay at The Westin Wilmington! From the moment we checked in, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. Every detail was handled with care, and you could tell the team truly takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. I slept so well, I didn’t want to leave! The bathroom was well-stocked with quality amenities, and the overall room setup was both comfortable and elegant. Breakfast was excellent — fresh, varied, and served with a smile. The fitness facilities were also impressive and well-maintained. The Westin Wilmington truly delivers a five-star experience from start to finish. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

This hotel needs an update, big time. Wallpaper peeling from walls, carpet and curtains are old and while they may be clean, they don't appear so because of their age. The hotel should at the least offer real mugs or cups for coffee and tea instead of paper, and a microwave so tea drinkers can heat water without it tasting like coffee. And the photos in the listing are deceiving. There is no view of the river. It's not even close to the water. Not worth the price. If I have to come back this way again, I'll stay at the Hyatt Place around the corner.

Good location and good quality for the price.

I came here for work and wished I could’ve stayed longer! My bed was very comfy, the southwest salad I had was delicious and quick, and the staff so friendly!

Stayed at the The Westin Wilmington and had a really solid experience overall. First off, the bed was insanely comfortable. One of those where you actually look forward to getting back to the room at the end of the night. Shoutout to Sam at the bar. She was awesome, super friendly, and clearly working hard. That said, she really should have at least one more person helping her on busy nights. It gets crowded and she’s handling a lot, but still keeps a great attitude. Room service was also excellent. The ladies delivering were quick, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. Everything came fast and with a smile, which makes a big difference. A couple minor downsides, the property itself feels a bit dated and the gym is pretty small. Nothing that ruined the stay, just worth noting. Overall though, the hotel was very clean, super comfortable, and I’d definitely come back.

Had my room robbed by an employee at this property. Police department had multiple police reports on file of theft at this hotel. Check other reviews with one star on trip advisor etc. They did nothing to fix the problem. They knew who went in the room and everything.

We hosted our wedding at the Chase Center & the majority of our guests opted to stay at the Westin. The experience was excellent from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for accommodating a large group of over 300 close to the venue. Our guests consistently shared glowing feedback about their stay. The rooms were well maintained and comfortable, and everything felt organized and seamless throughout the weekend. Having a reliable and nearby hotel made logistics so much easier and contributed to a smooth wedding experience for everyone. A special thank you to Janet, who was truly incredible throughout the entire process. She was patient, responsive, and extremely attentive while handling countless emails with room additions, changes, and swaps. She also took the time to personally check in and reassure me that everything would be taken care of, which meant so much during such a busy time. We also had our farewell brunch at the Westin, and the food was incredible. I expected a hotel-style continental breakfast, but the chef & team put together a very specialized menu with very unique and incredibly tasty options despite our numerous ingredient restrictions (vegetarian, no onion / garlic and many eggless options as well). Our guests were all shocked at how tasty the breakfast was & helped themselves to seconds, even thirds. They also loved the very refreshing smoothies the team created for us. Huge shoutout to Kelsey for making the breakfast happen! The entire team at the Westin helped make our wedding weekend run beautifully, and our guests had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend for wedding blocks and large group stays.

I visit this hotel every six months for business and I’m greeted by name every time I show up. They are accommodating with every request I’ve ever had and they are always pleasant. The food is good, the bar is good and the staff is clearly carefully chosen by management. There are three other hotels within walking distance that I could choose but I will continue staying at the Westin.
