Jinsiangu

Jinsiangu is a Nairobi-based organization working with intersex, transgender and gender-non-conforming people in Kenya. Its name is Swahili for roughly "my gender". It offers peer and psychosocial support, safe-space meetings, community-building and advocacy. It is not a public walk-in venue, and contact usually goes through its website or a referral. Sex between men remains criminalized under Kenya's penal code, and trans people have few legal protections. Organizations like this one keep their locations private. Visitors who need support should get in touch online first and not turn up unannounced.
