A very good place

I had the opportunity to stay at St@y Menlyn for close to 2 weeks, and here’s my review. They claim it’s a 4-star hotel apartment, but I highly doubt that. The apartment itself is quite good. I booked directly with St@y Menlyn, not through third-party channels, so I know this was an official unit. The space is spacious, well-equipped, and has WiFi. Facilities are excellent, so in that sense, it’s a 5 out of 5. However, there were several significant issues: • There is no way to contact reception from the apartment. There is no phone, and the numbers they provided do not get answered. • The WiFi went down for about 8 hours, and no one took action to fix it promptly. • During load shedding for about 4.5 hours, the reception rudely said they did not know when power would return. The hotel does have backup generators, but they only turned it on after 4.5 hours, which is absurd. I was paying around 3000 ZAR per night, and all services, including lifts, were unavailable. I had to climb six flights of stairs unnecessarily. • Noise from neighbors is a problem. People slam doors loudly even after 8 pm, and the hotel management did not address it. • The management disregards the service requests. They won’t give you water or coffee or cream. They will “ask” housekeeping to do it, but nobody really will. It’s a pity it’s such a nice apartment and service is terrible Overall, I would rate this 3 stars. The facilities alone deserve 5 out of 5, but due to the lack of reliable power, poor internet, and weak service response, the effective experience feels like 2.5 out of 5. The service level and responsiveness are more like a 2-star hotel, and my expectations were definitely not met.
