Viroth's Hotel

Cannot recommend this hotel enough - the location is perfect for all activities, the staff are all incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful, and the room was so thoughtfully decorated and very spacious. Not to mention the pool and restaurant - we kept thinking we should leave and explore other restaurants but we liked the vibe and food so much at the hotel we ended up staying most of the time!! You truly feel like family staying here, hoping to be able to come back one day :)

What an amazing Hotel. I never post reviews but..... Right from the first step onto the property you are greeted with a sincere warm welcome. Every single staff member from front of house to kitchen to bar, wait staff and cleaners could not do enough to make our stay a pleasure. Cambodian people are amazing! The rooms are perfect, the pool so relaxing and the breakfast to die for. My wife and I are frequent travellers and easily vote Viroths the best Hotel we have ever stayed in. If you are unhappy in life, head to this place, you will be treated like royalty with nothing to worry about from the beginning to the end of your stay!

Tue hotel os beautiful modern and very well looked after but the biggest asset is the staff. I have travelled quite a bit but never had such amazing people look after me. Every single person is warm and welcoming and makes you feel special. Was very sad to leave and if I come back to Siem Reap I will definitely stay here again.

Greta service, great location, pretty good and large rooms. I would stay here again, especially for the value. Breakfast was great, dinner is also pretty good. Very stylish through out with a great spa. Best part is the welcoming staff. They were the best.

I stayed in one of the deluxe double rooms and honestly had a really lovely stay. The room is simple, clean, and uncluttered, which I really appreciated. The bed was very comfortable—not too soft, not too firm—and the bedding had a light lemongrass scent that was surprisingly relaxing. I slept really well. There’s also a balcony, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the room. The hotel is on a street, but the soundproofing is excellent. Once the windows are closed, it’s incredibly quiet and you barely hear anything from outside. There’s a small sofa and a fan on the balcony, so it’s a nice little place to sit and relax. I went to bed quite early that night and woke up before sunrise. It was still dark and raining, so I just sat quietly on the balcony, listening to the rain and watching the sky slowly get lighter. It was one of those unexpectedly peaceful travel moments that makes you feel completely relaxed. The breakfast area and swimming pool are just to the left of the reception, with a small common lounge area at the back. It has a cozy, intimate feel rather than the atmosphere of a large resort. The service was another highlight. The front desk is staffed 24/7, and everyone I met was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. Mr.Scknea at the front desk was especially kind and gentle. He really made me feel comfortable, almost like I was staying at a friend’s place rather than a hotel. I also appreciated the little details. When I went out in the evening, the staff actually helped spray mosquito repellent on all my exposed skin before I left. Such a small thing, but it was incredibly thoughtful. Breakfast was also better than I expected. It’s a combination of buffet and à la carte, and there’s a Chinese menu available as well. You can order as much as you like, so I thought it was great value. I tried quite a few dishes, and my favorites were the eggplant dip with pita bread and the Cambodian-style fried noodles. The location is probably one of the biggest reasons I’d stay here again. It’s right in a very convenient area, with lots of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance, but somehow the hotel itself remains peaceful and quiet. Lao Noodle is about a 2-minute walk away, the Old Market and Pub Street are around 5 minutes away, and Kanell, where you can watch an Apsara dance performance, is about 7 minutes on foot. The Bean Embassy is roughly a 10-minute walk away. Larryta Bus Station is around 15 minutes by tuk-tuk, so getting around is very easy. There are a couple of minor downsides. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, so I imagine it can sell out pretty quickly during peak season. The gym is also quite small and the equipment is fairly basic. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my stay. It’s the kind of place that feels peaceful and personal, with thoughtful service and a great location. What I’ll probably remember most is sitting on the balcony in the early morning, listening to the rain and watching the sky slowly turn from dark to light.

We had the most wonderful 5-night stay at Viroth’s Hotel. The staff were absolutely incredible - Saiyon, Bross, Nora, Mr Chantou, Sokha, and Mrs Theary all went above and beyond to make our stay so special. Thank you for never ending double espressos in the morning Reaksa, Ra and Tine. Nothing was ever too much trouble. With fewer rooms, the service feels wonderfully personal, and our room was immaculate every day. Fresh towels and beautifully cleaned bathrooms, even while we were coming and going from the pool! The classic cars were a fantastic bonus, the location is perfect and the private tuk-tuks to the temples made exploring so easy. A truly beautiful hotel with genuinely wonderful people.

Spacious rooms that are cleaned as soon as you head down for breakfast. Great choice of food for breakfast, plus more options made to order. The hotel staff are what makes Viroth's an amazing place to stay, as they are always very friendly, happy to chat to see how your day is going & help out with anything you need.

As someone who has traveled to over 50 countries, and a former hotelier, this is THE best hotel I’ve stayed at. From the tasteful mid- century modern decor and large rooms, to the amazing meals, you will not find a more elegant hotel than the Viroth. However, what makes this the best in the way the staff take care of you. They are always so conscientious—always anticipating your every need. When I need a quiet place for a video meeting, they even opened an empty room for me twice. I want to come back to Siem Reap just to stay with them.

Absolutely exceptional stay from start to finish. On arrival, we were welcomed with scented cold towels and a refreshing welcome drink. The team also helped us with a room upgrade, and while the new room was being prepared, we were shown to a beautiful area to relax and enjoy a drink. Our room was stunning, overlooking the pool with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors. It was beautifully decorated, spacious and full of thoughtful touches, including complimentary snacks, a stocked minibar, espresso machine, tea, plenty of drinking water and even a very cool retro phone. The bathroom was next level, with a walk-in shower, bathtub and dual basins. The pool was spotless and incredibly inviting. We also had a massage at the hotel and it was amazing — incredibly relaxing and very professional. What really made the stay special, though, was the team. Every interaction came with a smile. Each time we returned to the hotel, we were greeted with a cold towel and delicious iced tea. The room was constantly refreshed, with the bed turned down, bathroom cleaned, fresh towels provided and even beautiful flowers placed in the sitting area. The attention to detail was outstanding. I honestly cannot fault this hotel. Beautiful property, incredible rooms and exceptional service. Highly recommend. We would absolutely stay here again.
