Naz Foundation (India) Trust

The Naz Foundation (India) Trust is a New Delhi NGO founded in 1995 by Anjali Gopalan. It works on HIV/AIDS and sexual health, runs a care home for children living with HIV, and has programmes for young people and LGBTQ+ communities. It is best known as the petitioner in Naz Foundation v. Government of NCT of Delhi, where the Delhi High Court in 2009 read down Section 377 for consenting adults, the first step toward the Supreme Court's 2018 decriminalisation.
