Sapporo Rainbow Prideは、実行委員会により運営される北海道のプライド・ウィークエンドです。大通公園からスタートするパレードで幕を開け、札幌市中心部を巡ります。「レインボー・ストリート」と呼ばれるエリアも設けられ、出店やステージ、ゲームなどが楽しめます。
札幌では1996年からパレードを開催しており、東京に次いで日本で2番目にこの催しを行った都市です。2026年の開催は30周年を記念し、9月26日と27日に実施されました。パレードそのものは27日に行われました。
共同通信によると、約800人が3キロメートルのコースを行進し、「結婚の平等にYes」と書かれたプラカードを掲げる参加者が多く見られました。この問題は札幌にとって特に重要です。2021年、札幌地方裁判所は同性婚禁止が憲法違反であると判断し、これは日本初の判決となりました。
確認時点では、2027年の日程はまだ発表されていませんでした。
