Melody Karaoke Bar

Melody Karaoke Bar is the current name of Ulaanbaatar's long-running gay bar, which has moved and been renamed several times. Regulars have known it as 100%, Hanzo and d.d/h.z, and many still call it Hanzo. These days it runs as a karaoke bar a few blocks from the central railway station, with private karaoke rooms, a small bar area and occasional drag shows. There's no sign outside, and the door is tucked among ordinary apartment blocks. Because the bar has a history of moving, confirm the current location with locals or the LGBT Centre before going. Bring cash and keep a low profile on the street.
