Kathmandu Peace Home

Kathmandu Peace Home is a small guesthouse on Basuki Marg in central Kathmandu. It is rated 4.8 from more than 800 Google reviews, which usually points to attentive staff and good value. Rooms are simple. It is a mainstream guesthouse listed as gay-friendly, not a gay property. Thamel and Durbar Square are within reach on foot or by a short taxi ride. Nepal legally recognises a third gender and has a visible LGBTQ+ rights movement, but public attitudes are conservative, so couples tend to keep a low profile.
