Reasonably priced hotel with good facilities in central location and close to all the action. I had booked a Deluxe room - Royal Wing 1 Queen,1 Single: my room was comfortable, clean, spacious and must have been soundproofed as although it’s close to a couple of bars and the main entertainment district, I had no disturbances and slept well. Positives: • Close to Patong Beach, Bangla Road, shopping malls, restaurants, and nightlife • Reasonably priced considering its central location and facilities • Swimming pool (even though I didn’t use it) • The breakfast was ok • View from the sky bar is impressive • Nearby laundry shops Room for improvement: the complimentary drink was a bit of a joke (see pic) Nearby entertainment: Free (except for drinks and tips) 2 x different ladyboy cabaret in the Soi with Cruise Club and Zag Club – worth checking out Heads-up: this is the LGBT part of town so be tolerant and relaxed or don’t come here (I’m straight, but I’m relaxed and respect the choices of others).
It was a great experience. The breakfast is excellent, the location of the hotel is really good. I don't think those who say it's insufficient for breakfast have any information about breakfast. The interior of the rooms is as sufficient as possible. I just think there is insufficient alcohol in the minibar. I would like to have options like whiskey, wine tonic ets. There could be snacks like chips, chocolate, but it's still okay. Housekeeping , f&b and kitchen are really successful, I liked them all much. Everyone is smiling and working well. Finally; as a front desk executive , I would like to express my extra thanks to the entire front desk team. They have more than all the requirements in their work, keep it up. My advice for all hotel staff is to continue to improve your sweet and polite English. I'm sure I chose the best place in our first experience with my brother in Phuket. I’ll be come again on my next stays.
Lived on the 21st floor, overlooking the south side of the patong. Rooms are clean, breakfasts are nice. There is a car, moto parking, swimming pool with a large area. When choosing a hotel, consider that from ten pm until morning, a few meters from the entrance, the bars stage musical performances ! If your windows will face north and lower floors, you will not wake up at all!
The location is spot on, no doubt about that. However, the rooms are getting older and it shows sometimes, things that are supposed to be attached to the walls etc are a bit on the looser side. Other than that, its clean and well maintained and the pool area is quite nice too. It tends to get crowded in high season, in April it was just great, no problem at all finding a vacant sunbed. The breakfast is ok, with ONE BIG MINUS. Press the cafe americano on the coffee machine and you will get diesel in the cup. They stil have this disgusting instant nescafe and it tastes like something from the swamp behind the hotel. It's to the point where you skip the coffee and walk out to the 7-11 to get proper coffee instead.
Firstly when we were greeted for check in we were told we could use our card for the deposit. Following this it was told we may or may not receive our deposit back so we needed cash. We then had to withdraw cash however we had planned to use card as this is our last stop in Thailand to avoid having excess cash. During our stay we ordered room service to which it took 30 minutes for the food however once it arrived we were missing a dish - we called 3 times and went down the restaurant after waiting 1.5 hours to get it ourselves. No extras or compensation dish etc was offered for the inconvenience of waiting 1.5 hours for one meal. The facilities were good however communication and reality were not met.
Mold problem had me feeling sick for 3 days, luckily the staff allowed us to move rooms. Seems they have mold coming through some of the AC vents, noticed I felt better outside of the hotel & that particular room when the AC wasn’t on. Saw lots of mold in between glass partition inside the elevator. Breakfast was poor quality, also not much variety. Hotel looked a little outdated. Staff very friendly, room service was good. Final review, oversold and paid for 3 star service.
This was our second stay in Royal Paradise. We had chosen to pay extra this time to stay high up to enjoy the wiew. That was a mistake. Our room on 17th floor and we were welcomed by the fantastic staff we remembered from the previous stay. That has'nt changed. No matter if it was the cleaning lady or the manager we felt they appriciated our stay and went that extra mile to make us feel welcome. However we can not reccomend this hotel after our latest stay, because: The noise from the nearby gay clubs is extreeme. The first show starts at 10 pm. an the last one starts at 1 pm. The music was very loud and staying in a room where the windows could'nt close and had to be tightened with ducktape to keep the noise out spoiled our sleep every night. Just for the record - we have nothing against gay people. Only the loud shows that kept us awake. The traffic also kept us awake. The hospital is very close and ambulances kept coming with the loud sirens all night. The TV was the size of our computer monitor at home and a terrible quality. At the pool we were alloved 1 towel per person for the sun beds. With all the sun beds on the upper pool being plastic they could only cover half and plastic gets very warm. This could be expected on a 2 star hotel but not a 3/4 star- Breakfast was good as we remembered it from our previous stay. So what kept this hotel up was the staff and definately not the hotel quality. So unfortunately our next year stay in Patong (7 times here) will not be at Royal Paradise.
The room Wi-Fi relies on a captive portal that was very unstable during the first three days, with constant disconnections making it unusable; the issue was resolved after reporting it to reception. However, the Wi-Fi by the pool, on a different network, remains very difficult to use. The welcome at check-in felt rather cold, though not unfriendly. The bathroom is clearly outdated: peeling paint, aging fixtures, a shower curtain instead of a glass screen, and a poorly designed shower holder that does not allow proper adjustment of the shower head. In addition, power sockets there are disabled when the lights are off, making it impossible to charge devices. In the room, some power outlets are unreliable and do not maintain a proper connection. I would not recommend the Friday international buffet: not very international and the selection was disappointing. Overall, the hotel is decent but would benefit from upgrades in several areas. ________________________________________ Overall positive stay, but with several points to improve. The in-room Wi-Fi is based on a captive portal that was very unstable for the first three days, with incessant disconnections making the connection unusable; the problem was corrected after reporting at reception. On the other hand, the Wi-Fi connection by the pool, on another network, remains very difficult to use. The reception on arrival was quite cold, without being unpleasant. The bathroom is clearly dated: flaking paints, aging taps, shower curtain instead of shower screen, and an impractical shower stand that does not allow the pommel to be oriented correctly. In addition, the plugs are cut off when the light is turned off, which prevents charging a device. In the bedroom, some electrical outlets are unreliable and do not maintain the connection properly. I do not recommend the international buffet on Friday: uninternational in reality and disappointing choice. Overall, the hotel remains decent, but would require several upgrades to be up to standard.
Nice enough hotel but pricey for what it was. Great location close to drag show club and Zag- just across road. Reasonable Chinese restaurant on 25th floor of main hotel with good breakfasts there on 2nd floor. We were in the Royal wing and design quite strange and dangerous as beds on a ramp in the room. We all had shin injuries after 4 nights- stupid design!
Holidaying in the hotel as a family. 2 adults and children 10 years and 3.5 years. Lived in a small building on the fourth floor in room 3214. Everything was very nice. We were charged a $100 deposit at check-in, returned without problems at check-out. Room is spacious, clean, roomy with balcony and pool view. Noise insulation is good, neighbours can't be heard, there was a bit of noise from the side of the pool from holidaymakers in the evenings, but it didn't stop us. Cleaning was good, everyday. The air conditioning was working without reproach. Breakfasts are delicious, albeit monotonous. Watermelon fruit, dragon fruit, melon. Flour products. Toast oven. Different juices. Coffee machine. Thai cuisine, Indian, a little European. Cut into two types of sausage and cheese. Yogurt. Boiled eggs, fried eggs, make omelets. The pool is small but clean and pleasant with a bar. On the second floor there is also a swimming pool with Jacuzzi. Towels are convenient to pick up and drop near the pool. Massages can be ordered if you wish, but prices are more expensive than outdoors. The staff are very polite, smiley, good-natured. Towels for the beach are given to the reception. Downstairs is a small gym, spa and kids club. But there wasn't enough time to visit. By the way, they give a welcome drink of choice and Thai cookies upon arrival. It was my husband's birthday, and they congratulated him on a piece of cake for breakfast. There's a lot of traffic near the hotel. Shops, cafes, massage parlours, exchanges, pharmacies, etc. The only thing I didn't like was going to the beach across Bangla Road. And as a whole, the hotel stay was great, sad to leave.
