この場所について テット・ドール公園

Parc de la Tête d'Or, Lyon’s largest city park beside the Rhône in the 6th arrondissement, doubles as an evening spot for gay cruising along its wooded lake margins while the riverbank opposite the park turns into a darker gathering place after closing. Parc de la Tête d'Or spans 117 hectares along the Rhône, making it a sprawling green space that feels both expansive and intimate. The wooded edges near the lake have long been a known spot for gay cruising, especially in the evenings before the gates shut. Because the park’s closing time shifts with the seasons, always check the posted hours before you head out. Once the gates close, the activity moves to the darker stretch of the Rhône quays directly opposite the park. By day the quays are a public park for families, but at night they become a more subdued meeting point. If you go, keep things discreet. Don’t leave valuables in plain sight, and stick to areas where other people are around the unlit riverbank. Police patrols do happen, so stay aware.

If you are visiting Lyon, you simply cannot miss Parc de la Tête d'Or. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful urban spaces I have ever encountered. The first thing that strikes you is the sheer incredible size and scale of the park. At over 117 hectares, it feels like a massive, lush escape from the city streets. What we loved most was the atmosphere; there is so much ample space that locals and tourists mingle effortlessly without ever feeling crowded. Whether you are seeing joggers on the trails, families picnicking on the sprawling lawns, or couples taking boats out on the serene 17-hectare lake, there is a sense of shared peace that is rare for such a popular destination. The highlight of our trip, however, was a total surprise. We stumbled upon the Zoo de Lyon located right inside the park and were shocked to find it is completely FREE to enter. For a free attraction, the quality is world-class. The animal enclosures are amazing, especially the "African Plain" where giraffes, zebras, and lemurs roam in a massive, beautifully landscaped habitat. It is clear that conservation and animal welfare are top priorities here. Whether you want to admire the 30,000 roses in the botanical gardens or just find a quiet spot under a century-old tree, this park is a masterclass in urban design. It’s a generous gift from the city of Lyon to its people—and its visitors! Pro Tip: Give yourself at least half a day here; between the greenhouses, the zoo, and the lake, there is so much more to see than you first expected!

It is simply fantastic. You cannot leave Lyon without having visited this wonder. I recommend renting an electric boat on the pond because it is a beautiful experience, and the price for four people is negligible, 35 euros for 30 minutes of total relaxation immersed in nature. Free entry to both the park and the zoo.

Whether you want to visit the zoo, stroll around the park, join a run club, or sit by the lake, this park has EVERYTHING! Despite being crowded on weekends, it offers great after-work relaxation and a breath of fresh air. You can also get there via Velov easily, which is a plus!

This park should not be missed when visiting Lyon. It is quite large and you have no less than three rose gardens, including locally grown varieties with fancy names. Beautiful trees too, a large lake, a botanical garden with exotic cacti from Mexico and exotic trees from Madagascar. The zoo was unfortunately closed on Tuesday. Beautiful park!

Very nice park to visit alone, together, with dog and with children. There is an activity for every target group! Note; Not everywhere you have access with dog, even on a leash.

Very disappointed with what has become of this magnificent park of the golden head. In the past, we could see many animals. It was an incredible ride. Today, very few remain and they occasionally go out. We could go horseback riding. Dogs are not allowed even on a leash in the new African zone because they scare so-called animals. The playgrounds for children were huge but probably more up to standard today... This park is beautiful but it has become sad and full of absurd rules.

A huge park with a variety of activities, including a small zoo, botanical garden, paddle boats, a rose garden, a restaurant, and several grassy areas for picnics. Restrooms are also available nearby. A great place to spend a few hours. Unfortunately, there's no parking on-site, so you'll have to find a spot outside the park. Highly recommended if you're in Lyon. Give yourself plenty of time to experience everything. Go and enjoy! 😉

A free park well worth visiting in Lyon. Park de l'Hôtel is quite large and has a beautiful environment, perfect for walks, picnics, runs, or sunbathing. Best of all, it's free to enter, yet there's plenty to see and do, including a small zoo, botanical garden, lake, miniature train, and boats, making it suitable for families with children. On a nice day, it's very pleasant and you can easily spend a long time exploring it. If you have time in Lyon, I highly recommend visiting this park.
