この場所について Fondation Le Refuge

Fondation Le Refuge is a French foundation that supports LGBTQ+ people aged roughly 14 to 25 who have been rejected by their families. It was founded in Montpellier in 2003 and is officially recognised as a public-interest foundation (reconnue d'utilité publique). It provides emergency and temporary housing, social and psychological support, and a round-the-clock helpline, through local branches across France. The head office is in Port Marianne. It is not a drop-in venue, so make contact through the helpline or website if you or someone you know needs help.

15 recent canvases by Peter Doig do not make you forget the vast emptiness of the interior of the house designed by Le Corbusier. There are no signs, no decorations, and the few eclectic pieces of furniture are on par with the switches that are missing their covers. A shame especially when you pay €10 to not have access to the terrace. 200 meters from here, Mallet Stevens Street will dazzle you ... for free.

This space is located in the area where this famous architect designed several apartment buildings. It displays information about the architect's works and the objects he used in his designs. For his fans only.

In a green setting, this genius house offers magnificent views of Paris. The exhibition "Brazil and Le Corbusier" promotes Brazilian art internationally with brilliance. This avant-garde architect stands out in this extraordinary architectural achievement that is the Roche House. Not to be missed!

The space of the LeCorbusier foundation is a unique and highly original environment. The large linear windows, the internal ramp as well as the use of color make this work faithful to all the artist's stylistic features. It is worth the visit not only to enjoy the excellent state of conservation but at the same time appreciate the spirit and architectural effort that the master implemented in his projects.

As an architect, this visit was my highlight of the trip. It is a must go for architects and very interesting how the lifestyle has been changing through time. It is incredible to see how unique was that house and how it was built at that moment.

Hidden at the end of a narrow cul-de-sac, this modest house, in what is to become a global movement, greets you with its rather simple exterior. The front door works as a slim membrane between the outer space and an amassment of cubicles of interior spaces. Minimalism and a divide between different functions, combined with mostly solemn colours, lead you to a variety of vistas, closing and opening up as you move around the house. Narrow landings and pathways, are the passages that compress your senses before you meet another idea, expressed as sometimes a room and sometimes just a bricolage of walls and surfaces. The fittings and the kitchen area are especially interesting as … being non-interesting. They are not typical to just this house, and has been used just for what they are and placed there, sometimes stirring a sense of conflict with greater ideas of a more idealised life. The machine of the house, so to say, has not been what intrigued Corbusier. Instead, it was the expression of a habitat for an elite and idealised man, La Roche, but where the ideas of the architect maybe also created this man. In this perspective, the house is well worth visiting. Moving around one might reflect upon that the age of the house. How it is apparent in the fittings and the kitchen, but also how contemporary it is in the question it rises. How do we normally arrange spaces in our dwellings and why do we let our habitats define who we are?

Fans of this famous architect and planner should come here, but otherwise this is not all that interesting or pretty. The building was not in good condition when I visited, perhaps a commentary on the impracticality of the designer?

Hard to believe this was ‘experimental’ architecture when it was designed. Today it looks familiar due to how common modern design has become. However, I recommend a visit for anyone interested in architecture or design in general.

We ended up at the house vs the foundation - which is what we wanted to see. The address on Du Docteur is for the house. The structure was very modern.

We visited this museum on our first day in Paris. We were fortunate that there was a guided tour offered on the day. The guide spoke good English, was very knowledgable about the history of the apartment and the biography of Le Corbusier. I would recommend that unless visitors are architecture students or architects, that they book the guided tour.
