Banana Cafe

Banana Cafe is one of the oldest gay bars in central Paris, on Rue de la Ferronnerie just off Les Halles. It is known for go-go dancers on the bar, a terrace on the pedestrian street, and a downstairs room with a piano, cabaret-style sing-alongs and later dancing. The crowd is mixed in age and nationality, and it stays open into the early hours. It sits a short walk west of the Marais, so it works as a late stop after quieter bars there. Drink prices are central-Paris high, and reviews (3.7 from about 1,500) are divided on door staff and service. It gets busiest after midnight on weekends.
