Die Busche

Die Busche is a large gay and lesbian disco at Warschauer Platz in Friedrichshain. It started in East Berlin and is known as the only gay disco in the GDR before reunification. It is a gay club, not a mainstream one. Expect several dance floors playing chart pop, Schlager-tinged party music and 80s and 90s hits, and a young, mixed crowd of men, women and trans clubbers. It opens Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10pm, running to 5am midweek and 7am at weekends. Entry is cheap by Berlin standards, and the music is a long way from the techno clubs. Warschauer Straße S- and U-Bahn are right outside.
