Sir Savigny Hotel

Unfortunately disappointing, now neglected and under-serviced/under-managed/under-invested - No breakfast or even coffee - TV channels completely disorganized - Cleanliness/bathroom needs improvement

Unfortunately, the stay turned out to be a major disappointment. The room was expensive and uncomfortably small. Furthermore, breakfast wasn't included in the price, which was an unpleasant surprise. The lack of flexibility regarding changes to reservations only compounded our dissatisfaction. We felt that building a good relationship with guests wasn't a priority for the hotel, and that short-term profits were the only priority.

Unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing. The room was expensive and uncomfortably small, and breakfast wasn't included, which was a surprise to us. Furthermore, the lack of flexibility regarding changes to our reservations further compounded our dissatisfaction. We felt that maintaining positive customer relationships was not a priority for the hotel, whose primary goal was short-term financial gain. This was very upsetting and disappointing. The windows facing the street meant that the room was filled with noise and loud behavior from people in the cheap bars below until late at night. I wouldn't recommend it.

Amazing trip to Berlin, in the wonderful Sir Savigny Hotel. Great location with cafes & restaurants all around. 2 mins from the train and 10 mins max walk to shopping street, tour buses etc. Excellent service at the hotel and the suite was so luxurious & comfortable. A querky hotel that’s so comfortable, friendly and original.

The location of this hotel was very nice. Loved the neighborhood with all it's nice little bars and restaurants. The thing I didn't like at all was breakfast. It just stopped being served after one day!! Breakfast was being served the first morning, but it was really bad. Bad coffee, the smallest piece of old bread, orange juice from a box and some thing that represented fruit. I think. After the first morning breakfast wasn't being served anymore!! We just had to find our own places to eat breakfast which left us with foodbills that quickly piled up after a few days. Also the people in the restaurant next to this hotel (which I assumed was the same place) were very rude. Like really cranky and annoyed. I felt like a 3 year old doing something wrong just by asking something. After we left we did get some of our cashback for the breakfast. We stayed 4 nights and we got € 64 back. That's the same as having breakfast once in the restaurants they send us to. Also it was extremely hot in Berlin when we were here (days of 35 degrees). Airco couldn't keep up with the temperature so the room was very hot. No sleep there. And at last the cleaningpeople took on of our roomkeys that we left in the room. Not a biggie, but why? Overall a very underwhelming stay. It would have been nice if we really got a decent refund. Or we could give them the receipts of our breakfasts we had to pay for because they just stopped serving it.

Really my style of hotel (boutique), member of Marriott (even though my stay did not show in the app). Prefer room facing the garden, as the others face a busy / noisy street. Mainly writing to say I really don’t understand the poor staff reviews - friendliest people ever. I am wondering if the previous guests and I even stayed at the same hotel!

A little gem in the heart of the city, a very quiet, small but beautiful room, lovely clean bathroom, everything with great attention to detail. I didn't have breakfast. Many good restaurants and bars are within walking distance; I would definitely book it again.

The decor was exceptionally stylish and unique – a true design hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and thoughtfully furnished. We would especially like to commend Martin at reception: he was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and his genuine manner perfectly complemented our stay. We would love to return.

Great locations but rooms really need an upgrade/ remodel. Pillows are not great either but beds are generally comfortable. Front desk stuff is not warm and friendly. They do their job but without any effort or a smile. We met various staff and they were all the same. Average hotel in a great location. Nothing to majorly complain about but meh.

Disaster! Check-in was chaotic; you enter a room where it's unclear how or even if anything will happen next. The staff speaks poor German. The room was okay. Newly furnished, but already showing its age. However, things were easily accessible. Now for the worst part: Although I stated at check-in that I was traveling for business, they charged me for two things without my authorization! They already had a cost coverage agreement from my company. 1. The entire cost of the stay was charged to my personal credit card (!) - I wonder where they got my information. Probably from one of the other hotels that belong to this group. 2. They also deducted city tax from a €30 security deposit (!). This is also illegal. Now I've received an invoice for the city tax, which I can't submit to my company because it only lists my first and last name, not even an address (!). The main amount (the accommodation fee) was silently charged to my credit card without any invoice. Now I have all the hassle and running around to do it. Therefore, I will never check in here again.
