It's roughly 2 km from the airport and 3 km from the new port, with the ring road giving you a fast exit route straight to the island's beaches. Staying clear of the town's central grid trades midnight noise for actual sleep. You can still stumble down to the bars of Matoyianni and Little Venice on foot. Just remember that gravity works both ways: the walk back at 3am is entirely uphill. Around 1,300 reviews average out to a solid 4.5. Greek salad a joke, 6 pieces of tomatoes. Not polite waiters (the woman with bigger lips). Unreasonably high prices. Try the other restaurants in the area.
