Both the service and the menu at the restaurant did not disappoint. The level of service was perfectly suited to the setting. The dishes were well-presented, cutlery was cleared promptly, and great attention was paid to every detail. The food was excellent—well-presented, served at the right temperature, and of high quality and generous portion size—and Christopher ensured the service ran smoothly. I am accustomed to receiving service that leaves much to be desired in many restaurants (including those with Michelin stars or recommendations), but I can honestly say that this is one of the few places where paying a 15% service charge feels entirely justified. Thank you very much. For sure we will come back

We had an amazing dinner at Costes tonight! Every dish was a festival of flavors, and each presentation was a work of art. Our server, Levi, was outstanding—warm, attentive, and welcoming. He made an already wonderful evening even more special. An unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!

It was a shame to give the name to the unit operating in Timeout, it does not represent top gastronomy at any level. The Gundel pancake is a mockery of the product, but for 7000 the Viennese schnitzel is more acceptable than good.

Such a lovely dinner at Costes Downtown! I was also really happy that Adam arranged a spacious table for us :) The mushroom consommé was definitely the highlight. It looked light and simple, but the umami was incredibly rich, with different mushrooms bringing their own flavours and textures. Some dishes taste pretty much how you expect them to, but this one genuinely surprised me. I had no idea mushrooms could taste like this! The beef neck was tender, lean but with a lovely gelatinous texture, served with celeriac, lentils and some slightly sweet and tangy vegetable slices. The duck liver, created in collaboration with a contemporary artist, was another favourite. The edible artwork on top was a lovely touch, and the combination of fruity, sweet, sour and savoury flavours worked so well together. Even the complimentary coconut treat with orange filling had an interesting hint of saltiness. What impressed me most was the balance and complexity of the flavours. Everything was delicious, but there were also combinations I would never have imagined before tasting them. A really enjoyable experience for both the taste buds and the eyes. The Restaurant Week menu was great value too. Four courses, including water and drinks, came to less than 20,000 HUF. Definitely worth trying!

It's always a pleasure to sit down at Costes Downtown again. We've been here several times, and the quality of the cuisine and hospitality continues to impress. This time, the imaginative, artistic presentation of the duck liver and the playful quince dessert were particularly memorable. The quality of the dishes is consistently high, the flavors are well thought out. The carefully selected, imaginative plates, glasses and cutlery deserve special attention, which make the gastronomic experience even more special. The service is extremely professional. The team is prepared, attentive and accustomed. They respond to everything in a timely manner, yet are present in a natural, discreet manner. I would like to especially highlight Tamás Fanni, whose outstanding professional preparation, commitment to wines and natural, direct attitude made the dinner experience particularly memorable. The restaurant's selection of wines and champagnes is excellent, and it is definitely worth asking for a drink pairing with the dishes. I also wholeheartedly recommend the Chef's Table concept, it's a special experience to follow the work of the kitchen up close.
