Hotel Villa Carlotta Taormina

Hotel Villa Carlotta is a 19th-century villa on Via Luigi Pirandello, on the road running from the cable car up to the town, with an outdoor pool and sea views. Travel Gay and Purple Roofs both list it, which makes it the best-documented gay-friendly stay in town; neither source describes it as an exclusively gay hotel. Google has it at 4.7 from about 350 reviews. It is a walk uphill from here to Corso Umberto, and prices run high in July and August, so book ahead.
