Hotel Hemera

If you ever find yourself in Podgorica, you should definitely stay here. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very respectful and helpful. The only downside is that the rooms are decorated in a very dark way.

The location is right smack in the pedestrian center. The hotel has unique beautiful design. But all this great experience came crumbling down when I was supposed to take taxi to the airport which I had asked already in the morning. The pick-up place was a block away. I waited for fifteen minutes in 40 degree heat in the street corner. I tried to call the driver but he didn't pick up. I had to walk back to the hotel. Then after a few minutes the driver called the receptionist He had now arrived. I walked back to the street corner. This taxi service is called Tesla taxi. As I got in I was surprised how hot it was. AC was not working! In Tesla! So I arrived late in the airport all stressed and sweaty. That was a sorry ending for a five star hotel experience. The hotel should choose more reliable taxi partner.

It doesn't feel like a 5-star hotel, it's more like a good guesthouse. The refrigerator in our first room was broken, but the staff helped with changing rooms. Unfortunately, since there was only one empty room, we moved to a smaller one. The hot and cold water setting in the shower was also broken :D Luckily, you could still take a shower in the new room. You can't sleep because of the snoring from the person next door; all the noise is in the room. The rooms have a shared door, so two people can't open their suitcases at the same time. There's a lot of outside noise; the noise never stops. Only the location and the restaurant are very good. Even there, if two people go and only one person eats, they charge a cover charge even though you're a hotel guest. Overall, the hotel staff is good, the facility is clean, but it's mediocre, you could say it's a 3-star hotel.

I absolutely do not recommend it. The hotel and room were like a dungeon. With temperatures outside at 37 degrees Celsius, the air conditioning was completely inadequate. Music played outside until 3 a.m. You could hear everything in the rooms. The breakfast was absolutely awful. Greasy fries and a tortilla with a disgusting filling. Absolutely awful. At check-out, you have to pay 1 euro for some kind of insurance. The receptionist couldn't explain why. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!! I REPEAT, ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY!!!

They sell a 5 stars hotel, it means you are looking for several facilities for this hotel category. No concierge, no breakfast buffet, no rest areas.... no bottle of water as facility, you have to carry on your luggage more than 1km to arrive to the hotel, the decoration is looks a terror tunnel, even inside the rooms. They charge 5€ for a 0.75 ml of bottle of water and they push to check out at 11 with unfriendly calls, the hotel is categorized as 5 but the reality would be 2 or 3 in an European country. They need to improve many things to get 5 stars. .

Fantastic hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options; there's something for everyone. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Podgorica.
