The Oeverlanden strip along the Nieuwe Meer lake in Amsterdam-Zuid is the best-known outdoor cruising area in the Netherlands, tolerated by the city for decades and marked as such on municipal signage. It has two parts: a clothing-optional sunbathing shore by the water, and a wooded zone behind it where the cruising happens. Sunny afternoons in summer are the busiest time. Get there via the Jaagpad path and expect a fair walk along the water past the marina. It is open ground with no facilities, so bring water and take your rubbish out. There have been harassment incidents in the past; go with a charged phone, keep valuables minimal and report anything to the police.
