Café Westerdok is a small, traditional Amsterdam brown café on Westerdoksdijk, just west of Centraal Station, beside the Westerdok harbour. It's a gay-friendly mainstream bar rather than a gay venue. It doesn't follow any particular theme. People come for the beer: a long list of Dutch and Belgian brews, with plenty of Abbey and Trappist bottles. It opens at 16:00 Wednesday to Sunday and is closed Monday and Tuesday. It closes at midnight most nights, at 1am at weekends and at 22:00 on Sunday. Expect locals, a quiet room and staff who'll talk you through the beer list. It's a short walk from the Jordaan or a stop on the way out to the Houthavens.

Such a special place in Amsterdam ✨ Super intimate and full of charm, with a really warm atmosphere. The owners are absolutely lovely and make you feel at home straight away. Amazing drink recommendations and such an incredible selection as well. One of those places you don’t want to leave, can’t wait to come back !
