Scheveningen Dunes (Zwarte Pad)

The dunes behind Scheveningen's Noorderstrand, north of the Zwarte Pad beach entrance towards Meijendel, are The Hague's best-known outdoor gay cruising area. Cruising here has been tolerated for a long time and is closely tied to the signposted naturist section of the beach. It's busiest on warm days from late morning to early evening, and much quieter outside summer. To get there, take the tram to the Zwarte Pad stop and walk north past the last beach pavilions. Bring only what you need, stay off the protected dune vegetation, keep things out of sight of families on the beach and take the usual precautions once it gets dark.
