Cyrano wine bar

We stumbled across this place just for a glass of wine and ended up having a wonderful experience that will definitely bring us back. While the wines are excellent, the music, decor, and architecture are truly historic. The atmosphere is fantastic, but above all, the service was outstanding, especially from Karolina. It's truly appreciated that such great service still exists.

A few days ago, I visited Cyrano Wine Bar on Sławkowska Street with friends. The heat in Krakow was almost unbearable, so it was with great relief that we found refuge in the beautiful, atmospheric cellar interior of the place. From the very first moment, we felt truly welcomed. Both the appetizers and main courses were excellent, and the lamb cabbage rolls—without a shadow of a doubt—were the best I've ever had! The service deserves special mention: warm, attentive, and professional, yet incredibly natural. It's clear that the people working here truly want to welcome their guests and make them feel special. There's nothing forced about it—there's sincerity, genuine commitment, and genuine hospitality. The owner of Cyrano Wine Bar served us wine. His knowledge, his way of talking about wine, and above all, his love for what he does made the evening an unforgettable experience. Cyrano is the best proof that there are still places in Krakow where you can feel truly cared for and welcomed. If you want to visit a restaurant where you can feel the love for people, food, and wine on every side, Cyrano Wine Bar is definitely the place to go. I wholeheartedly recommend it! P.S. The almost enchanting courtyard hidden inside the restaurant also deserves special attention. It's a true gem in the heart of Krakow!

The atmosphere is awesome, it's in a cellar that was built in the 15th century. And the host was super hospitable.

Even though it's been almost three months since my visit, I still have a bad taste in my mouth, so I had to write about it. I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday at this place because of the French menu (he's French). Upon arrival, it turned out that the entire menu had changed and they no longer had the typical food I'd read so many good reviews about. I didn't say anything, thinking it was my oversight, but I checked later – the old menu was still on the website; it would have been appropriate to mention that when taking the reservation. Well, we stayed because what else could we do? We ordered from the new menu (small portions, but it's a new way of serving food as a wine pairing). The taste was okay, nothing special, but unfortunately, the whole atmosphere was very unpleasant. Although it started well – the waiter was nice and spoke excellent French – once we were seated, we practically disappeared. There was a group from Switzerland in the same dining room with us, and while we were waiting for our meal, they managed to eat, order more courses/desserts/wine, and then finish theirs. The waiter repeatedly passed our table with empty plates, chatting with other guests. The moment when the power went out for a moment was particularly upsetting. The waiter excused himself to the table next to us, his back to us, and then walked past us without a word. That's when I realized we'd been treated like second-class customers. I was simply ashamed. We planned to spend the entire evening there, ordering more wine and dessert. Ultimately, after two courses, we left because the atmosphere wasn't conducive to celebration at all. Honestly, I'm not even sure we would have lived to see that dessert.

It was our last evening in Krakow, together with my mother. We had a very nice evening. The owner knows a lot about the food, the wine, and the location of the restaurant. The food and wine pairing were also truly fantastic. Highly recommended if you want some hospitality in Krakow and REALLY good food!

Always wonderful hospitality and incredible food. If you want to drink really good wine, or just the kind you're craving, feel free to come. Brilliant!

My friend Sabina and I have been having lunch in this wine bar every day for the past week. She's a meat eater and I'm vegan. The amazing thing about the chef, Piotr's cooking was the variety of his dishes. I had an extraordinary meal with Lion's Mane mushroom with a lovely strong sauce. Zurek a typically Polish soup, a flavourful aubergine dish, and today a broad bean dish with capers. and "raspberry tomatoes". The meals were full of surprises. A tofu dish that had a chinese feel with a Polish twist was also a triumph. All the food is locally sourced, even the olive oil is special. If you're looking for completely unique, gourmet food go to Cyrano. You won't be disappointed, I promise you. They are wine experts and have wine specially made for the restaurant with Wojtek who will be deighted to tell you all about it. Apparently the exact month the grapes are harvested makes a difference to the wine
